How to Get Shielded Cargo Early in Starfield

To get a Shielded Cargo Hold early on in the game, go to the Porrima System. In here, you will go to the planet Porrima III. And in that planet, you’re going to visit the Red Mile.

The person you’ll be looking for is called Lon Anderssen. By the way, it’s a gambling settlement, so you’ll definitely have something else to do after you’re done modifying your ship.

Upon discovering the location, go ahead and cycle through the doors and make a right turn behind the reception desk to get inside Anderssen’s office. Tell him that you’d like to modify your ship to bring up the shipbuilder.

Once you’re in shipbuilder mode, click on “Add” and navigate through the tabs until you see the Cargo category. Anderssen’s stock will vary but he’ll definitely have a number of shielded cargo holds available for purchase.

When you finally find something that you fancy, yank your old cargo hold outwards and put the new one in. Rotate the camera a little bit if you’re having a tough time attaching the component.

You can freely delete the old cargo hold and any of the items that are still inside will be safely transferred to the new one you just bought.
