Starfield: How to Get to the Lab | Entangled

Titanfall 2, anyone?

Starfield is a big game, like really big. The file size of the game is impressively small, considering the games map is the size of the universe (not literally). Travelling to different planets and space stations, you will always find something to do, as there are people you can talk to that will sometimes give you hints of a quest. One such quest that you can do, that will most likely remind players of Titanfall 2, is the Entangled side quest. In this guide, I will show you how to get to the lab in the game.

How to Get to the Lab

There are three different sections of the quest that will be covered in this guide that will lead you to the lab in the game.

Here are those objectives:

These three objectives, as you can tell, state that you need to override 3 lockdowns, all of which are preventing you from reaching the main lab. You will need to override the lockdown first, starting with the one in the Facilities Section.

Override the Lockdown in the Facilities Section

When you start the objective, you will need to follow the quest marker. When you do, you will need to go through the Distortion, which are portals to the other universe, in order to go through the locked door that’s behind the Distortion.

After going through the Distortion, you will find yourself in the other universe with the door open. Go through the door and go inside the room. Following the quest marker, you will find the Nishina Particle Lab Keycard. Pick it up and continue onward.

I would also recommend having the flashlight on during this whole quest, as the other universe is incredibly dark to the point where visibility is pitch black if you have no source of light. Having it on will avoid having to turn it back on when you return.

To continue forward, turn around and you will see a Distortion in the corner. Approach it and use it to go back to your universe.

Back in the main universe, you will now be able to access locked doors with the Nishina Particle Lab Keycard, but it’s only useful in the Particle Lab. After opening the door, continue forward and follow the quest marker.

When you go down the stairs to follow the quest marker, you will find that there is another locked door that you cannot open. Standing in the middle of the hallway, look to your right and you will see a room with a Distortion in the corner. Approach it and use it to travel to the other universe.

Travelling to the other universe, you can now go through the locked door and make it to the quest marker. However, when you reach the quest marker, you will find that the computer you need to use is destroyed. You will need to use a Distortion to go back to the main universe and use it.

Not far from the computer, there is actually a Distortion hidden behind a corner. Use it to return to the main universe.

Now that you’re in the main universe, you can interact with the computer. In the computer, you can override the lockdown for the Facilities Section by accessing the Security System option.

Remember to also deactivate the turrets, robots, and alarms that are available in the computer as well. It will help in moving around the lab.

With that done, follow the quest marker until you reach the Accelerator Station.

Override the Lockdown in the Accelerator Station

When you get the objective to override the lockdown in the Accelerator Station, you will have to fight a group of enemies in the room. Either that, or you can just sneak past them. I recommend killing them so you can avoid dealing with them in the future.

After dealing with the enemies in the room, go up the stairs to the left and keep going left until you find a Distortion next to some equipment. Use it to transport to the other universe.

In the other universe, go inside the room to your right and you will find the quest marker leading you to the Nishina Utility Closet Keycard.

With the keycard in hand, turn around and go back up until you exit the room. Cross the catwalk until you reach the other side of it and you should find a Distortion. Use it to go back to the main universe.

Back in the main universe, you will need to go down a floor and head to the Utility Closet door. Use the keycard to open the door and go through it.

Inside the room, you can find a Distortion. Use it to go through to the other universe. When you make it to the other universe, you will find that the wall to your left is gone, and you can go inside the room.

In the room, you can find the computer you need to interact with. However, it’s broken beyond repair. Luckily, there is a Distortion across the computer that you can use. Use that and then interact with the computer.

Access the computer and override the lockdown by using the Security System.

The lockdown is still up, so you will need to find another computer to help remove the lockdown. Use the Distortion to go back to the other universe and go through the broken down wall. Use the Distortion in the Utility Closet to then go back to the main universe and leave the area.

Follow the quest objective and it will lead you to another computer to help you override the lockdown. Using this computer will successfully help you override the lockdown and help you go deeper into the lab.

At this point, you will need to go deeper into the lab. Keep moving and follow the quest marker until you find a room with a Distortion. Use it and it will take you to the other universe, where there will be a large hole to the right.

Going through the hole, you will have to traverse the rocky environment until you make it to the quest marker.

You will eventually see a Distortion that you can take to get back to the main universe, where you can continue through the lab.

Overriding the Lockdown in the Storage Section

When you continue forward, you will find that the door to the Storage Section is locked. There should be a room to your left that has a Distortion that you can use to move to the other universe.

In the other universe, there is a hole in the wall in front of you that you can go through. Keep moving through the door that leads out to the caves and continue.
