Baldurs Gate 3: Defeat The Goblin Leaders Without Fighting Guide

There are a lot of ways you can deal with quests in Baldur’s Gate 3. The developers in Larian Studios have made it so that Player Freedom is always at its highest priority in their games. We’ve seen that in their previous game and now, we’re seeing it in their newest one. One of the quests in the early parts of the game is dealing with the Goblin Leaders. There’s a way to defeat them without them fighting back!

In this guide, we’ll show you how to kill the Goblin Leaders without them even fighting back. Now, let’s see how we can deal with these leaders.

Defeat The Goblin Leaders Without Fighting Guide | Locations

The three Goblin Leaders you’ll have to deal with in Act 1 can be tough to fight head on. You can certainly try to do it and with the right builds it might even be easy.

There are ways to fight them without them even getting a chance to fight back though. Just remember that if you follow these instructions, you won’t get 2 of the 3 mind flayer worms from them!

True Soul Gut

The first leader of the Goblins is True Soul Gut, and you can meet her right near the entrance of the goblin stronghold.

You’ll need to talk to her and let her brand you, then she’ll tell you to follow her to her room. You can then talk to her inside that room, and she’ll ask you to drink a potion. This is a sleep potion; you’ll need to drink it.

NOTE: If you’re an elf, you can’t follow this path, since all forms of elves, even half-elves, can’t fall asleep even with potions.

Once you wake up from the sleep potion, you’ll be in chains. Don’t try to break from your chains but instead preserve your strength.

Without spoiling much, if you don’t break out of the chains True Soul Gut will die without a fight. Don’t worry you’ll be out of your chains as well!

Warden Minthara

The next leader on our list is the Warden Minthara in the Goblin Camp. With this one, we’ll kill her ourselves this time, but we’ll do so in more of an easier way than just fighting.

When you talk to Minthara for the first time, she’ll tell you of the hunt for the Druid Grove. Agree to the hunt and she’ll tell you to meet her outside. She won’t even reach the outside before we’re done with her.

Once she starts moving, wait for her to go over the wooden bridge near her area. It’s best to use any ranged weapon and don’t worry about the damage.

The target we’re aiming for is the wooden support shown on the image below. This support only has 1 HP and when you destroy it the bridge will fall down and Minthara with it! If you do it quick enough, the goblins won’t even turn hostile!

Dror Ragzlin

For the last leader of the goblins, we have Dror Ragzlin in the Shattered Sanctum. This one is actually fairly easy; the thing is since he’s the last leader, a fight will break out when you kill him. That’s because when all the leaders are dead all the goblins will automatically be hostile to you.

To kill Dror Ragzlin easily, all you need to have is a strong character like Karlach or Lae’zel. You’ll then need to use an Invisibility Potion and walk up to him.

Position your character so that when you push him, he’ll fall to the crevice nearby and die. You can use the image below as a reference. It’s just that easy!
