Palia: How to Complete the Temple of the Fire Puzzles

The Temple of Fire is a recent and significant improvement to Palia. In order to complete this quest, you are going to need to solve a bunch of puzzles, which is a new thing for the game. While there were some other puzzles before this one, this is the longest and most confusing one at the moment. That is why, we are going to guide you through each one of them and show you how to complete the temple of fire puzzles in Palia.

How to Complete the Temple of the Fire Puzzles

Hassian will contact you to start the quest after learning that Tau, his adorable little dog companion, has gone missing.

Now, you are going to go and find him, and doing this will take you a lot of time since there will be lots of puzzles to be completed. If you are ready to face the endless mazes and puzzles, let’s go and find little Tau right now!

Puzzle 1 – Unlocking the Door

The first puzzle you will need to solve will let you unlock the door of the Temple of Fire. To complete this one, you will need to use your arrow to shoot the symbols on your left and right.

But first, you should learn the order of the symbols you need to input. To do that, stand in front of the entrance and look up. There will be three symbols in total.

With the one closest to you being the first one, input each one in order. After that, the door will unlock.

Puzzle 2

Once you unlock the door, you can head inside. There, you are going to see a wall in front of you. If you come closer to it, you will see that you have the option to inspect it. But there is something missing from it, and you will need to find out what it is to solve this puzzle.

You will also find an Ancient Tome on its left, don’t forget to read it before you move on.

Now, go to the right and you will see Sifuu and Hassian waiting for you there. Talk with both of them, Hassian will mention that there is a door you can get through. To find it, take the stairs near him.

You will enter a mysterious chamber. Hassian and Sifuu will be there as well. First, inspect the Phoenix Statue and then go talk with Sifuu. At the end of the conversation, she will give you a torch.

You are going to use the torch to light the brazier on the left side of the carving. However, you should light it before you can use it.

Once you do this, light the brazier and the carving will open the door of a maze for you.

The maze might look confusing but do not worry, it will be easy to figure out the exit. Just follow the steps below, the first thing you should do is to find the fireplace to light your torch once more.

Maze #1

• Head to the left to enter the maze.

• Turn left and continue from there.

• When you come to a crossroads, take a turn to the right. At the end of that path, turn left.

• Go straight to the glowing area, you are going to see the fireplace on your right there.

• Light your torch, then go in the opposite direction from where you came from.

• In front of you, you are going to find an Ancient Tome.

• Now, go back to the direction of the fireplace. But this time, you will go through the gap before it.

• At the end of this path, you are going to see a wall that you can climb.

• Climb up, go forward, and climb the second wall. Then, turn around to climb the other wall behind you. You will arrive at the next carving.

• Light the brazier on its left, and you will open a secret door.

Maze #2

You will arrive at a second maze once you open the door.

• Proceed from left. Then, you will need to continue to the right. But, if you take a turn to the left before doing that, you can find an Ancient Tome right there.

• Then, go back to your way and follow the path for a while. After that, turn left from the point we show in the picture below.

• You are going to find the fireplace to light your torch there. Light it, then go back to where you come from, but this time continue to the right.

• Following that path will lead you to a climbing wall.

• Climb up, and keep climbing the walls while following the path. You will eventually arrive at the third carving.

Maze #3

Unfortunately… there is still one more maze you will need to complete. The carving will open the door of the third maze. However, this one will be easier to finish. Except for the fact that the floor is mostly lava, you will be good.

All you need to do here is to avoid stepping onto the lava and keep climbing the walls until you find the fireplace.

After that, climb up once more to arrive at the end of the maze.

Once you light the brazier there, a mural will appear on the wall. This will complete the maze, and you will need to go back to Hassian and talk with him to move on with the quest.

You will need to go back, but don’t worry, you can simply do this by gliding in the air.

Puzzle 3

After you are done talking to Hassian, it is time to leave the mysterious chamber and return to the foyer.

Once you leave there, Hassian will be waiting for you near the entrance of the final chamber. Go to your left to find him, and talk with him to learn what you need to do.

Now, you need to figure out how to unlock the door. It will be the same as what you did on the first puzzle.

There are four symbols in total, two on the right side of the door, and two on the left. All you need to do is to figure out the order. To learn it, go back to the murals and look at the symbols on them. Each mural will tell a different side of the story, and this will determine the order.

To save you from trouble, the order should be: 1, 3, 4, 2.

Reaching Tau

Once you open the door of the final chamber, you will see Tau standing across with a Kitsuu. The problem is, there is a gap between you and him and you cannot glide there. And also the floor is covered in lava…

Here, you will need to get help from the Phoenix Statue.

“Our trust can only be passed to those who return it. Take a leap into the unknown and earn it.”

Meaning that you will need to take your chances with the unknown. Therefore, all you need to do to reach Tau is simply walk to him. There is an invisible bridge you can walk on.

The last step to complete this quest is doing the Kitsuu puzzle on the wall.

Kitsuu Puzzle
