The latest update of Genshin Impact added various new activities with some worthwhile rewards. Among them is the quest entitled Scenes from Life in Meropide: Unfinished Task. This guide will walk you through all of the steps in completing this quest, which is fairly straightforward and merely involves running around a bunch and talking to a couple of NPCs.

Scenes from Life in Meropide Unfinished Task
To start the quest, fast travel to the northern waypoint of the Fortress of Meropide. From there, follow the path to the left until you reach the elevator, then take it to reach the upper level.
After exiting the elevator, run forward and take a left. Keep running in this direction until you reach an NPC named Nelly.
She’ll talk for a bit, and after that, you will be given the option to interact with her to begin the quest Scenes from Life in Meropide: Unfinished Task.
A short cutscene will play out. Once you’re finished talking to Nelly, the next step will be to turn off the loudspeaker nearby.
Simply turn around and you should be able to find it immediately, as it’s just a few steps away from the NPC you just spoke to. Walk up to it and disable it to proceed to the next step.
Once the speaker has been disabled, your next objective is to talk to the guard. From the loudspeaker, turn around and run to the left.
Just keep following the path until you run into an NPC named Grainville. He is the guard you’re looking for.
After you interact with him, he’ll start making his way to the loudspeaker that you disabled earlier. You can either follow him back until the next step triggers, or you can run straight to Nelly and wait for the quest to progress.
Once the guard reaches the loudspeaker, you can talk to Nelly once more. Another short cutscene should play out, and she’ll show you a blurry image. Select either dialogue option to finish the conversation.
And that’s all there is to it! The quest should now be completed after your brief exchange with Nelly.
You’ll be rewarded with 20 Primogems, some EXP, a few thousand Mora, and 280 credit coupons. There are more quests like this with the latest update, so go out there and get those other rewards!
