There is a wide variety of unique gear and accessories that you can collect and craft in Star Ocean The Second Story R, and among these are Santa’s Boots. It’s actually an accessory rather than an actual pair of wearable boots but equipping them will make every stay at an inn feel like a very Merry Christmas indeed. So, how do you get it?
How to Get Santa’s Boots
There are multiple ways to actually get this item. One of them is the Fun City Rally bunny racing activity, though you will have an extremely low chance of actually getting it from here, so this is not the ideal option.
For the other two options, you must be in the post-game state of the game, meaning that you’ll have to beat the final boss first.
After that, you will be able to make a special save with a star icon on it. The next step involves simply loading this new save file and going back to Fun City.
Specifically, you will want to travel to the Fun City Arena. From here, go to the northwestern end of the colosseum, where you will find the Strange Geezer, who is an old man dressed in green.
He will provide you with the option to go back to the first planet, which you should accept. Upon arriving in Arlia, the couple living in the house to the west will now have a child.
To get the Santa Boots, you have to pickpocket from the kid. Make sure to save your game before trying to do this, as there is a relatively low chance of success with each attempt.
There is a third method to acquiring it, but just like the first one, it isn’t exactly recommended. It involves going through a post-game dungeon. In it, there is a chance for the Santa NPC to show up and sell you the boots at an extremely high price.
The boots themselves give you a chance to obtain certain items when staying at an inn. You can get various items ranging from common accessories to extremely rare weapons that will require a lot of luck to get.
And that’s all you need to know about the Santa Boots and how to get them. Again, you should definitely opt for the option to just pickpocket the kid, as it is extremely easy and requires much less luck compared to the other two methods.
