General Vezax might be one of the trickiest bosses to beat in Ulduar. He has very strong damage, very big health with a lot of resistance. So beating him might take a couple of tips and tricks.

The most important thing to this in this battle, is to just keep interrupting Searing Flames. This AoE spell that he casts will do a bunch of damage on the whole raid.
Not that it just does a ton of damage, but it reduces the armor everybody that got hit from it. It reduces it by 75% and this means that whatever else he casts might be lethal later on.
Another big thing is that if you don’t interrupt this spell in time, the boss will keep casting it non stop. It has happened a lot of times for full raids to be wiped out just from this one single cast. So, eyes open and cancel it as soon as possible.
Very big thing to keep in mind when playing a caster here, your mana won’t regenerate. To get this mana, the DPS dealers must destroy Saronite Vapors around it, and they will spawn a little puddle of water. Casters need to get inside of these in order to regenerate mana.
Another big attack is Shadow Crash. This attack will be focused only on one person, and if hit, it will do a tremendous amount of damage. It will be marked where it will hit, so just make sure all of the group party moves far away from the attack location. It looks like a purple comet.
It will also knock all nearby players backwards.
Mark of the Faceless affects one random player and with siphon health from all nearby players to the boss. If you have this on you, just run away from the rest of the team until it passes.
Surge of Darkness is a spell that he uses to buff himself. You can notice how he will grow in size. His movement and attack speed increases by 55% for 10 seconds. Try to run away, and push out your tank to stay alive.
