Shadovia offers players a wide variety of weapons to use when exploring its fleshed out fantasy world. You can get weapons in various ways, ranging from crafting, looting and drops from specific enemies. The possibilities are vast and you can get some godlike weapons.

In this guide, we will be showing you how to get one of the strongest weapons in the game, which is the Kingsbane. Keep in mind that you will likely need to grind quite a bit to get it, but it will certainly be worth it. Let’s get into it!

How To Get Kingsbane Complete Guide

Starting off, you will need to go to the Vampire Realm, which is where the Count Vermillion boss is. However, you will actually need to have unlocked the boss in the first place which will need to be done through a whole quest line.

If you’d like more details about the Count Vermillion boss, make sure to check out this dedicated guide for all the bosses in the game (including Count Vermillion) – their locations, spawn methods, requirements and more!

You can get the questline by first going to the Elf Shrine on the World Map. These requirements are the same for the Vampire Cape, one of the best accessories in Shadovia, that you can get by defeating Count Vermillion.

Nearby, you can see a small tower with some vines running down them. Go to the top of this tower and you’ll meet the Princess Twix NPC. Talk to her and she will start you off on the quest to eventually face the Count Vermillion Boss.

You can find the Count Vermillion Boss by going to Vampire Town on the map shown below.

Once you exit the Shrine, you will see a small broken down building in the dark. Inside this building, there will be a fountain.

You will need to interact with this Fountain by equipping the Angel Bells item, that you can get as part of the questline obtained from the Princess. Jump on top of the fountain and activate the Angel Bells item to teleport to where the Count Vermillion Boss is.

Once you arrive, you will need to defeat the Count Vermillion Boss. You can get the Kingsbane weapon as a drop by defeating him. However, there is only a 1% chance for the weapon to drop, which means you will likely need to grind him.

So, we suggest that you try two things before you face him off. The first thing is using the Christmas Pudding item if you have it. However, since it was an event only item, you may not have it.

In that case, you can use a Luck Potion before facing the boss, to maximize your chances of getting the drop.

And if you have both items, we recommend using both of them as this will lead to the best-case scenario. You can get a Luck Potion by Cooking it, with the recipe shown below.

Of course, you will still need a lot of luck when facing him. You may be interested to know that you can get some other amazing items as drops from him as well, such as the Vampire Cape mentioned before.

Now, all you need to do is face him off as many times as possible until your hands on the Kingsbane. It certainly won’t be easy, especially with how bosses have been made much harder by the developers.

That’s everything you need to know about getting the Kingsbane. A fairly simple process as you won’t really have to jump through a lot of hoops to get it. But you will certainly need to grind quite a bit, depending on your luck. Keep on the lookout for some additional items, and happy grinding!
