In Genshin Impact, a lot of quests tend to overlap with one another. Collecting the Spirit Orbs under “An Ancient Sacrifice of Sacred Brocade” is a great example of this. Collecting the three spirit orbs around Mt. Xuanlian is a prerequisite to unlocking the upper Chenyun Vale teleport waypoint.
It also allows you to collect the Golden Carp reward from the Pavilion! I’m going to teach you how to collect the spirit orbs so you can hit these two words with one stone in Update 4.4.
How To Collect the Spirit Orbs
To collect the Carp Spirit Orbs, you will need to explore Mt. Xuanlian. There will be three Spirit Carp statues you have to activate with Adeptal Energy. The location of each statue will be marked on the map for your convenience.

First Spirit Carp Location
The first Spirit Carp location can be reached by gliding down from the teleport point.
You’ll notice a Jade Incense Cauldron puzzle beside the locked Spirit Carp statue. To solve this puzzle, you have to light up all the censers using Adeptal Energy.
To start, jump towards the floating boulder with a deactivated Cauldron atop it. Then, use your Adeptal Energy to interact with the other Cauldron behind it. This will activate the Cauldron beside you.
Then, jump back to the boulder where the Spirit Carp statue is, and activate the censers using the Jade Incense Cauldron located on a wooden ledge across you. Align the censers and the cauldron before activating it, to light them all at once!
This will activate the first locked Spirit Carp statue.
Second Spirit Carp Location
You can use the glowing orbs throughout the map to teleport to the next location.
Get the Jade Cascade from above the marker location. This will also remove the flow of Sacred Spring from the cascade and will elevate the platform below it.
A text prompt will appear from the Sacred Simulacrum asking you to move the waterfall away. Move the Jade Cascade to the slot just beside it using your Adeptal Energy. Once done correctly, the Sacred Spring should gush down the incomplete Spirit Carp statue below it!
This will unlock the second Spirit Carp statue.
Third Spirit Carp Location
This third spirit carp is the hardest to miss. It will be right beside Mt. Aocang to the lake located east of the map.
Getting this one is simple. Beat the Hilichurls and move the Jade Cascade to the slot beside it. This will activate the Spirit Carp statue below it, for you to collect the last Carp Spirit Orb!
