Stardew Valley, the beloved farming simulation game, is celebrating its 8th birthday today. As fans around the world join in the celebration, the developers have given them a gift to look forward to: the release date for the long-awaited update 1.6.
The Exciting Announcement
The developers made the announcement on their Discord channel, stating, “The PC release date for version 1.6 is on March 19! Consoles and mobile will come later, but the wait shouldn’t be too long. Consoles (Switch, XBOX, Playstation) will likely come out first, then mobile afterwards.”
This news comes as a pleasant surprise for the Stardew Valley community, who have been eagerly awaiting the update since it was first announced. The update is expected to bring a host of new features, including new festivals, items, stories, secrets, and a new farm type, along with eight-player PC multiplayer support, over 100 lines of new dialogue, and fresh late game content.
