One of the awesome games we got to play this year is Dragon’s Dogma 2 by Capcom. It was released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / Series S just recently. It is an Open World Action RPG and in games like these you often spend a lot of time hunting for materials to upgrade your weapons. In Dragon’s Dogma 2, one material you will end up searching for is Pointed Fang. This guide will show you where to get it from.
Where To Farm Pointed Fang
Pointed Fang is an important material which is required for upgrading your weapons. It is dropped by Wargs. A Warg looks like a big red wolf which is often mistaken with a Garm (which are bigger in size compared to a Warg).
Now the problem is that those Warg do NOT respawn once killed. Some players have said that they got the Wargs to respawn after resting in game a couple of days but we suggest not putting too much thought into it as this may be the result of a bug or just extreme luck.
Which is we why recommend saving your game before you try to get Pointed Fang in case you screw up (the game can also auto save at the wrong time so keep that in mind as well).
Make sure you have completed the quest called The Guardian Gigantus before you try to get Pointed Fang. Following are two locations where you can find Wargs:
Drake Location
- There are 3 Wargs which are in a battle with a Drake towards the North of Volcanic Island Camp.
- If the Drake kills the Wargs before you, the Wargs will not drop Pointed Fang.
- If you see Drake kill the Wargs before you can get to them, reload you save before the game auto saves.
Cyclops Location
- There are 2 Wargs in a battle with a Cyclops to the Near East of Volcanic Island Camp.
- If the Cyclops ends up killing the Wargs before you, the Wargs will not drop Pointed Fang.
- In case the Cyclops beats you to the punch, reload your save before the game auto saves.
Forgery
You can make perfect copies of Pointed Fang at the Forgery. So make sure to keep at least one Pointed Fang in your inventory. This will help you with your upgrades which require the Pointed Fang because you will not be able to find any more Wargs in the game after you are done with the two locations shown above.
This is it for this Pointed Fang guide. As you are playing Dragon’s Dogma 2, you will come across a plague called the Dragonplague. Trust me, this plague can be quite gruesome because it will not only kill normal townsfolk but it will also affect your Pawns (such as they directly disobeying your orders). Learn how to spot and deal with it before it is too late by following this guide: How To Spot Dragon’s Plague.
