Complete Arcana Guide & Best Arcanas For All Role
In Honor of Kings, you’ll need something the game calls Arcana in order to enhance your hero’s stats. Players can choose from up to 30 Arcanas from the Arcana Selection screen for each of their Hero. The 3 main types of Arcanas are Red, Blue and Green.

More About Arcanas
We know that Arcana is used to boost your hero’s stats. Various Arcana boosts different stats. Arcana can boost your characters physical strength, health, magic attack, cooldown reduction, Lifesteal, Movement Speed, critical damage and piercing.
Players have the options to upgrade all eight subtypes or stats in the game. As mentioned before, Arcanas are divided into three main categories: Blue, Green and Red.
- The Red arcana boosts all of the Attacks stats.
- The Blue arcana boosts all of the Health stats.
- The Green arcana boosts all of the Defense stats.
Each Colored Section has ten aracana slots that you can fill with arcanas. And each colored section can house up to ten Arcana of that specific color. You can fill more than one slot with the same Arcana; you just need extra copies of that specific Arcana.
Arcana Upgrades
You also have the ability to upgrade Arcanas up to a max level of Level 5, making the maximum level for each Preset 150.
You can either upgrade each Arcana individually or you can use the game’s smart upgrade feature for automatic upgrading.
Higher-level Arcana provides a stronger boost to your character’s abilities during the game. However, the overall performance buff depends on the combination of Arcana you’ve chosen for a particular hero. For instance, if a hero has more attack, critical damage and piercing Arcana in the archive, the hero will get a significant buff in the attack attributes.
Arcana Fragments
Next up, you’re going to need Arcana Fragments if you want to upgrade your Arcana. You can find these fragments from various sources like:
- In-game events
- Daily Login Rewards
- Daily honor pass missions
- Challenge missions
- Road to Greatness mission rewards
- Exchanging extra copies of Arcana for Arcana Fragment.

Arcana Privilege
Another helpful mechanic that’s worth noting is the Arcana privilege. Arcana privilege boosts all low level Arcana to the privilege level.
The level 4 privilege card can boost your Arcana level up to 200 which you can obtain when you reach reputation level 5.
The level 5 privilege card can only be obtained through in-game events. This card temporarily boosts you to the max level. Having each of your Arcana reach its max level typically takes a very long time so start by selecting the role you play forts and prioritize your main heroes when using the level 5 Arcana privilege.
Unlocking Arcana
The single way to unlock more Arcana slots in Honor of Kings is when you level up in the game. At the start, you will begin with 9 slots, gradually moving up to all the way to 30 when you level up.
Once you unlock the slots, you’ll need to acquire appropriate Arcanas to place in those slots. Unlike unlocking slots, players can unlock Arcana in various different ways. You can purchase them from the shop with gold, diamond, or Arcana fragments. You can even earn them through achievements, events, and missions.
Now, where do you need to go to access and upgrade your Aracanas? You can access them through the prep menu on your main screen.
Next you switch to your hero, and from preset, go to the Arcana Archive. There, you can view all the unlocked slots and arcana you have in your inventory. You can upgrade your Arcana here either individually or at once using the Upgrade All button in the Arcana Archive.

Best Arcana for each role
Let’s start with what Arcanas you should prioritize upgrading.
Red Arcanas
If you want something to boost your physical stats, we recommend:
- Mutation (Physical Attack +2, Physical Pierce +3.6)
- Red Moon (Attack Speed +1.6%, Critical Rate +0.5%)
- Unparalleled (Critical Rate +0.7%, Critical Damage +3.6%)
- Calamity ( Critical Rate +1.6%)
For mages, consider Nightmare (Magical Attack +4.2, Magical Pierce +2.4) and for Tank/Support try considering Fate (Attack Speed +1%, Max Health +33.7, Physical Defense +2.3)

Green Arcanas
For Physical:
- Eagle’s eye (Physical Attack +0.9, Physical Pierce +6.4)
For Mages:
- Mind’s eye (Attack Speed + 0.6%, Magical Pierce +6.4)
- Tribute (Magical Attack +2.5, Cooldown Reduction +0.7%)
For Tank/Support
- Vacuity (Max Health +37.5, Cooldown Reduction +0.6%)
- Compassion (Cooldown Reduction +1%

Blue Arcanas
For Physical:
- Hunt (Attack Speed +1%, Movement Speed +1%)
- Stealth (Physical Attack +1.6, Movement Speed +1%)
- Reaver (Physical Lifesteal +1.6%)
For Mages
- Avarice (Magical Lifesteal +1.6%)
- Hunt (Attack Speed +1%, Movement Speed +1%)
For tank and support:
- Harmony (Max Health +45, Health /5s +5.2, Movement Speed +0.4%)
And these are 16 Arcanas you should upgrade first. You can manually select them in the Arcana menu or use the recommended pro arcana features. Maxing out all the Arcanas will undoubtedly take a lot of time so make sure to prioritize your main heroes first.
