However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. In this guide we’ll touch upon what you need to look out for when playing Arli, her skillset, her passive, farming and more!
More About Arli
Arli is no doubt a highly skilled Marksman but you’ll find her quite weak during the early stages of the game which means she needs to scale a lot. This character essentially requires more time and effort to reach her full potential.
Fortunately, her high mobility can easily outplay your enemies and that’s what makes her the best marksman in Honor of Kings.
You might get overwhelmed when playing at the start since she’s not exactly a beginner friendly player. But if you’re up for a little challenge then she can be awesome in that regard. You can also do a lot of things to manage her overall skills and mechanics.
Arli’s Passive & Tips
Arli can deal a ton of damage with her passive. Let’s start by understanding Arli’s Passive. Her passive works by marking her target with a basic attack first and after hitting her mark thrice, the target will explode as she deals magic damage to them.
(NOTE: If it’s the first time you’re hitting them, you’ll need to hit your target 4 times.)
You’ll also notice that the explosion from her passive has a small AoE. Luckily for us, Arli’s passive is pretty decent in clearing minion waves at a much faster rate.
Also note that using any of her skills will accelerate the mark. Which means that it will mark your target twice. So, make sure to use your basic attacks between using your skills, too. So, the key in dealing a lot of damage with Arli’s Passive is to repeatedly spam it.
Arli’s Second Skill
Next, we talk about her second skill that blocks incoming projectiles. With proper timing, you can decrease the damage you deal from an enemy’s attack. This will end up working in all types of skillshots and basic range attacks. Although this powerful mechanism needs to be used wisely!

Making Good Use of The Umbrella
Next up, we talk about the umbrella. It’s imperative that players of this character understand the positioning of her umbrella.
The umbrella gives her access to teleport to various spots on the battleground giving her an advantage over unsuspecting enemies.
Arli will summon her umbrella in a circular pattern around you and the positions where her umbrella takes her is entirely random. So, watch out when you’re teleporting with your second. Her ultimate is just a knockable skill.
Skills & Abilities
- Falling Leaves (Passive): Attacking the target with normal attacks will trigger Maple Mark on the target with four stacks. This deals 100 (+30% physical attack) magic damage to enemies in the surrounding. Once you use a skill or retract the paper umbrella, the next basic attack will deal an additional 30% physical attack.
- Lunar Recall (Skill): Arli instantly moves in a certain direction and leaves her paper umbrella at its original position (if Arli has the umbrella equipped in her hand).
- Maple Dance (Skill): Arli spins her paper umbrella (if Arli has the umbrella equipped in her hand), knocking down flying objects and dealing two instances of damage to enemies within range.
It’s important to remember that the umbrella travels in a circular path. Combine this with movement to cover unexpected distances, increasing Arli’s flexibility and ensuring a chancet at gaining a survival space.
- Autumn Storm (Ultimate): Arli repels all enemies in front, dealing 250/375/500 (+80% physical bonus) magic damage, and then throws her paper umbrella in the specific direction (if Arli has the umbrella equipped in her hand).
Farming
During the laning phase, you’d want to farm as much as possible. This hero is very hard scaling and you best believe she’ll be needing a ton of items to go on. Since her damage is weak, you’ll need a lot of patience while playing her. Which is why we say she’s a challenge to master. Because once she scales high enough, she can destroy anyone in her path.
For macro, you can look around for some extra farming on the map. This method will help you get to the core items much faster. And this is also perfect since Arli is very good at clearing.
Battle Tactics
- Know when to summon Arli because poor decision making can kill you in the game.
- You can bait your enemies into using their skills and teleporting by doing a fake engage. All you have to do is ensure that your umbrella is in a safe spot so you can teleport back. Also use your second skill wisely since this skill can essentially save you from any incoming range attack.
Keep confusing your enemies with your fake engage to throw them off and waste their skills.
