How To Get Special Parts
Special parts are an important item in the game’s crafting system. They allow you to craft advanced items, build bases, create high-tier weapons and much more.
Special parts are obtained by dismantling junk, but a certain kind of junk. The issue here is that you cannot find the required items that will yield special parts in any area. Instead, they are obtained from items that drop in higher-level areas, specifically Chalk Peak.

Obtaining necessary items to make special Parts
As mentioned above, you’ll need to find items from Chalk Peak. To access this location, you also need to be in Level 32 or above.
These items include either appliances or some kind of electronics you’ll find in the area. Some of the items that can turn into the Special Parts we’re looking for are:
- Ovens
- CPUs
- Coffee makers
- Bearings
- Welding Machine
- Scrap SMG Body
- Scrap Sniper Rifle Body and many more.
But since Chalk Peak is so large, it’s natural that you’ll get confused on where to look. Start by looking in Residential areas, rec rooms, kitchens and securement Silos.
You can start by scavenging through Holt Town and Furnace Lair in Chalk Peak.
Where to take these items
Now that you’ve acquired some items, where do you take them to dismantle and turn them into special parts? The answer is the same place you’d take any item whether to obtain special or refined parts: the Disassembly Bench
Take your electronics to your Disassembly Bench to disassemble and turn them into the Special Parts that have their own wide range of uses.
