In Farming Simulator 25, there are plenty of obstacles that can get in the way of your farming experience. Stones are one such obstacle that can get in the way and even damage your machines. We’ve got just the thing for you if you’re tired of having to constantly repair your machines. Let’s look at how you can clear your fields.
How to Remove Stones
In Farming Simulator 25, there are three levels of stone denoted by the colors: yellow, orange and red.
You can see these stones by opening the map of your fields. They will be dotted all around the ground so you can see exactly where they are grouped at.
The image below shows an example of how you can see the stones on your fields.
They each work a little differently, and here’s how to handle all of them.
Yellow Level Stones
With these types of stones, you can simply push them back into the ground. For this, you’ll need to acquire a Roller. You can find a roller under “Yield Improvement” in the vehicle store.
There are two types you can purchase, a standard-sized one and a large one. If you have the money, you should buy the bigger one because it’ll cover a larger area much faster.
Once you purchase one, attach it to your tractor and press “X” to unfold and drive it over the field. The tractor will flatten all of the stones into the ground.
Orange and Red Level Stones
You’ll need a Stone Picker to remove orange or red level stones.
You can buy a Stone Picker if you head over to the vehicle’s options in the store. You’ll find it under “Soil Cultivation.” Once you purchase the stone picker, the procedure is the same. You drive it over the area with the red stones.
What To Do With Stones after Crushing Them?
The only difference is that these stones do not get crushed into the ground and instead, you end up picking them up. After picking them up, you’ll need to dump the stones off at the cement factory.
To tag the factory’s location, go over to prices and then click on stones from the list. You will find Cement Factory in the “Stones” tab. Go over to the bottom of the screen and click on “tag”. The factory’s location will be marked on your map for you to visit at any point!
If you look at your map after, you’ll notice your field is cleared of all tiny yellow, orange, or red dots. This indicates you’ve picked up all stones and your field is ready to be fertilized and sowed!
Now, you’ll no longer have to deal with your machines constantly breaking down!
Other Reasons Why You Should Remove Stones
- Protects Your Equipment: Stones can damage your machinery, especially plows, seeders, and harvesters. This increases repair costs and reduces the lifespan of your equipment. Removing stones prevents unnecessary wear and tear.
- Improves Yield: Leaving stones in your fields can reduce crop yield. Rolling or picking them ensures your fields are in optimal condition, maximizing your harvest.
- Prepares Fields for Crops: Removing stones creates a smoother surface for planting and cultivating. This makes your farm easier to manage and more efficient during planting seasons.
