If you’ve ever been halfway up the mountain in PEAK and wondered, “What does this random mushroom even do?” — you’re in the right place. Items are the backbone of survival in this game. From life-saving medkits and stamina boosts to trollish bugles and bananas that knock you out cold, each item has its own quirks.
Every Item Explained Guide
With the latest update, PEAK’s item system has expanded even further. There are climbing tools, healing kits, mystical artifacts, troll items, consumables that can make or break your run, and plenty of luggage to dig through. This guide covers every item in PEAK, what they do, where to find them, and little pro tips to get the most out of them.

Climbing Items
Surviving PEAK means mastering verticality. These are the items that help you scale, rest, and move smartly.
- Rope Spool – Toss a rope down with Mouse 1 + scroll wheel to pull friends up.
- Anti-Rope Spool – Same idea, but lets you climb upward.
- Rope Cannon – Shoots a rope downward.
- Anti-Rope Cannon – Shoots a rope upward.
- Chain Cannon – Fires a chain horizontally so you can travel like on a vine.
🔑 Pro Tip: Jump on the chain and slide down to save stamina and move quicker. - Paton – Plant it while climbing to recover stamina.
- Shelf Shroom – Throw with Q to spawn a platform on a wall.
- Portable Stove – Cook food and clear the freeze debuff.

Luggage Types
Loot is scattered across different luggage tiers:
- Normal Luggage – 1–3 basic items (edibles, low-tier gear).
- Big Luggage – Better-quality equipment.
- Explorer’s Luggage – High-tier loot, mystic gear like the Jur Skull.
Miscellaneous Items
This is where PEAK gets weird—and fun.
- Backpack – +4 inventory slots. Place it down to store/share items.
- Blowgun – Puts players to sleep. Great for trolling friends.
- Magic Bean – Creates a climbable Beanto.
- Flare – Light source and signal tool.
- Bugle – Mostly useless, except for a capybara achievement.

- Compass – Always points north.
- Pirate’s Compass – Points to unopened luggage.
- Bing Bong – Joke item—carry it to the top for an achievement.
- Scoutmaster Bugle – Summons the Scoutmaster for a short time.

Packaged Food
Want the Naturalist Badge? Don’t eat these until you’re off the island.
- Trail Mix – Drops from luggage.
- Granola Bar – Same.
- Scout Cookies (4 uses) – Luggage loot.

Natural Food
Found throughout PEAK’s environments:
- Coconuts – Smash for stamina.

- Napberry – The risky one—clears all debuffs but puts you to sleep.
- Honeycomb – From hives, max stamina boost.
- Eggs – Break big eggs for food.
(Plenty more berries, bananas, and shrooms exist—always test cautiously!)

Mushrooms
Mushrooms are everywhere and often unpredictable. Some heal, some poison, some are tied to badges. I recommend testing them in safe areas—or checking a poison guide if you don’t feel like gambling.
Mystical Items
Rare, powerful, and often found in Mystical Luggage:
- Cure-All – Wipes multiple debuffs at once.
- Pandora’s Lunchbox – Clears all statuses, then randomizes buffs/debuffs.
- Fairy Lantern – AoE healing/cure.
- Scout Effigy – Revives a fallen teammate.
- Cursed Skull – Sacrifices you to cleanse allies and give stamina.
- Bugle of Friendship / Scoutmaster Bugle – More fun but situational items.
Owning one of these unlocks the Esoterica Badge.

Not as flashy as mystical gear, but essential for survival.
- Backpack – Extra slots.
- Binoculars – Astronomy Badge.
- Parasol – Sun protection + safe descent.
- Scout Cannon – Shoots players or objects.
