For the players who are looking for a preview of the class or wondering what talents you can get for the Devastation Evoker this article is for you!
Devastation Evoker Talent Guide In WoW Dragonflight
The new Evoker class is quite a big addition to World of Warcraft along with the expansion itself. They had to bank on this expansion because this might make or break the company due to the overall downward trend of Blizzard’s reputation lately.
There are a lot of abilities and talents that the Evoker can use, for this guide we’ll show you the main things you’ll need to keep in mind when playing a Devastation Evoker.
Fire Breath
Your main stay ability, a cone-shaped AOE damage over time ability that synergizes with different talents.
Living Flame
A single target ability that can be changed to a multi-target ability with certain talents.
Pyre
Pyre is your main AOE ability that uses up Essence. Essence is your main resource for this class and you will need to keep an eye on it when using certain abilities. Luckily for you, there are talents like Azure Essence Burst and Ruby Essence Burst which gives you a chance to not use any essence for certain abilities. These two talents are important to have.
Eternity Surge
Your main ‘nuke’ ability, charge it longer to target more enemies up to 6 targets in total.
Imposing Presence
Your first choice node would be a choice between Imposing Presence and Inner Radiance. For most builds Imposing Presence is the better choice as it halves Quell’s cooldown.
Dragonrage
Your main DPS CD ability, not only does it fire off 3 Pyres at enemies it also guarantees Essence Burst for 14 seconds making this a major ability to use for bursting damage. Add in the node Animosity to increase the duration and Might of the Aspects to boost damage when there’s an Essence Burst. Ruin also adds to this ability by giving you maximum benefit of Mastery regardless of target health.
Continuum
To the right side of the tree take Essence Attunement to stack essence burst and then take Continuum which gives you Essence burst when your Eternity Surge crits.
Dense Energy and Volatility
Dense Energy reduces Pyre’s essence cost by 1 and Volatility which is the next node to the left which lets Pyre get a chance to explode again, remember to put 2 points into the latter.
Engulfing Blaze
The next choice node is a no brainer with Engulfing Blaze which increases cast time but adds 40% more damage and healing from Living Flame, a huge bonus.
Heat Wave
A flat 40% increase to your Fire Breath Damage over time, get that since it’ll be important later on.
Tyranny
Bigger crit damage, what else is there to say? Bigger number is better.
Scintillation
While doing Disintegrate you get an 8% chance to do a level 1 Eternity Surge every time you damage, reminder that Disintegrate deals damage multiple times.
Cascading Power
A boost to your Essence Burst economy, this passive will give you a 20% chance of not consuming Essence Burst.
Everburning Flame
Before going to Everburning Flame take Font of Magic and 2 levels in Burnout. Burnout is great since it reduces the cast time of Living Flame when you do Fire Breath. Speaking of Fire Breath, Everburning Flame is a passive that increases the damage over time of the ability by 1 second, which is great since you have Heat Wave that adds damage to your damage over time!
