Old School Runescape is one of the very few MMORPGs out there that has withstood the test of time. Many players still play Runescape, and you can see hundreds of players going around various parts of the map leveling their skills and doing quests. There’s also a big PVP scene in the game which keeps the game running, as well as a well beloved and trusted developer team that communicates well with its players. So, if you’re new to the game or a seasoned veteran trying to level your smithing, here’s a guide on how to use the Blast Furnace.

Leveling skills in Runescape may be a chore for most people but it has hooked a steady fanbase who loves doing it. People often find ways to optimize leveling in the game to make sure that they’re not wasting time, while others do so leisurely and at their own pace.
For those who want to level up you’re smithing fast and you have a few hundred gold ore lying around then this is the guide for you. We’ll teach you all about the blast furnace.
To get to the Blast furnace you’ll first need to go to the Grand exchange. Once there, head north west until you see a trapdoor near the walls, travel through it and you’ll enter the area where the blast furnace is. Just check the map after entering the area and look for the place labled “Blast Furnace.”
Now that you know where to go, you now need to get certain items to make your leveling experience better. You’ll need a bunch of gold ore as well as money to pay for the Blast Furnace if you’re below smithing level 60.
A highly suggested item to get is the Gold-Smithing Gauntlets which you can get from the “Family Crest” quest.
These gloves increase the EXP gained from smelting gold ore. Another pair of gloves you need is the Ice Gloves, which can be looted from defeating the Ice Queen, you’ll need these to handle the gold bars.
Now that you have the needed items go to the Blast Furnace and either pay the foreman or put gold into the coffer to use the furnace. The next part is to equip your Gold-Smithing Gauntlets and keep your Ice Gloves in your inventory. Then fill the inventory with gold ore.
Now just click on the conveyor belt to put all of your ore in it. Wait for the XP to tick in before switching to the Ice Gloves, then go down and pick up the gold bars. It’s just that easy, repeat until you’re satisfied!
