With the release of Escape From Tarkov it started the rise of “EFT-Like” games. These games are often focused on gritty realism or simulation where you do loot runs and gather resources in a map filled with enemy AI and players who have the same goals as you. Marauders is one of those games and it has started picking up steam because of its unique mechanics it bought the genre. In Marauders you can drive giant ships and even board other ships, capturing or looting them when possible. In this Merchant Frigate Engine Location guide we’ll show you where the engine location is of a certain ship.

There are plenty of contracts in Marauders that you can do when you start a run. Some of these contracts can be as simple as finding specific loot, or killing a certain number of enemies. Other contracts require you to use your ship versus ship skills or even board other ships.
There’s a mission in Marauders that needs you to inspect the engine of a Merchant Frigate. Merchant frigates can be found in some raids as stationary ships with bright red lights around them.
Once you enter the merchant ship via boarding keep an eye out for enemy AI crew and sometimes enemy players! There are plenty of areas you can spawn in the ship, sometimes you’re lucky and just spawn next to the engine, if not then it’s fairly easy to find the engine room.
The best way to spot the engine room is to follow the red lights. The door to the engine room usually has a red light on top of it. Go through there and you’ll find yourself the big engine to interact with!
