There are a lot of pieces of gear that you can get in the game, each of them can be upgraded. This gear can include Amicia’s sling, a crossbow and alchemy upgrades and much more. There’s a couple of choices for each piece of Amicia’s gear and in this article, we’ll show you which are the best options.

Sling Upgrades

The best options for the sling are the Softened cords and double cradle. The former makes it so you make less noise when firing the sling, a great addition when you want to take down guards one by one without alerting them of your position.

The double cradle is great since you can shoot the sling two times before reloading it, great for taking in a pair of guards quickly, or 4 in quick succession!

Crossbow Upgrades

The best upgrades for the crossbow are the Flexible Limb and Reinforced bolts, the former because we all know how slow crossbows reload in games and in A Plague Tale: Requiem it’s no different. Flexible Limbs will make it so Amicia can reload it faster.

Reinforced Bolts is also a great upgrade since your bolts won’t break on impact, that means you can pick them back up which helps in saving ammunition and not relying on picking up new bolts along the way.

Non-Weapon Upgrades

For the alchemy upgrades the best one is the Strong Fire upgrade, which makes it so you can kill enemies with a jar filled with Ignifer. This is great for taking out a bunch of enemies and can clear an area quick.

Bottomless bag is the best upgraded for your gear since it means you can carry a lot more alchemical resource. This is great if you hate the feeling of seeing alchemical resources just to learn that you have no more space!

Lastly the best upgrades for instruments are the Traveler’s tools and Unbreakable Tool. The former lets you upgrade your equipment without going to a workbench which is just great convenience.

The Unbreakable Tool upgrade does what it says on the tin, it makes your tools unbreakable, meaning you only need to look for parts now when upgrading stuff!
