Forging Destiny | Myrkr Tunnels Door Puzzles – God Of War Ragnarok

Door puzzles don’t stand a chance against the God of War.

If you are new to the God of War franchise, you will be surprised at how many door puzzles there are. Event the original trilogy and its spin offs were 20% door puzzles too. It’s not because they are trying to pan out the game time, but more to give the players a break from slaughtering enemies for two hours straight. In God of War Ragnarok (and the 2018 entry), door puzzles continue to be a thing, which Kratos must be nostalgic about. Here is a guide to help you solve the door puzzles in the Myrkr Tunnels.

God Of War Ragnarok – Myrkr Tunnels Door Puzzles

Puzzle 1

Solving the first door puzzle is a little tricky, but easy to solve. See the gear at the top? Have Freya shoot a Sigil Arrow at the gear, and then throw your axe at it. Doing this will permanently freeze the gear. If you throw your axe without a Sigil Arrow on it, you cannot continue because the gear will unfreeze when you bring out your axe, which is needed for the next part.

There is breakable object on the other side that cannot be hit by any other means, but you can use this crystal to hit it. Aim your axe at the crystal and move it around until the line turns blue. This means you can hit your target. Throw your axe and the crystal will ricochet your axe at the next breakable object, letting you continue.

Puzzle 2

The next puzzle is super easy, but can be overlooked at first. To open the gate, you need to get the water wheel going, but there is no way to do it. That is, unless you do the Kratos way. Aim your axe at the water troughs directly above the water wheel, and throw it. This will break the wooden troughs and the water will pour down on the wheel, raising the gate.

Puzzle 3

For the next puzzle, you need to interact with this lever to turn the water to another trough.

Go back down but before you jump down, have Freya shoot a Sigil Arrow at this part of the trough and throw your axe. This will freeze the water permanently, creating a block that forces the water to go down the other trough.

Jump down and throw your axe at the trough above the water wheel. This will make the water flow down to the wheel and open the gate.

Puzzle 4

At the next puzzle, you will be with Brok this time. You will need to get Brok into a lift, which will be covered in vines. Use your Blades of Chaos to burn the vines. Look to your right and you should be able to climb up and see a geyser blocking your path. Freeze it then jump over and continue.

At the end of the path, you will see another geyser. Freeze it with your axe, and the lift Brok is in will go up. After Brok is out of the lift, go back down and step on the lift where Brok was. Have Brok block the geyser to lift Kratos up to the next area.

Step out of the lift and turn right. You should climb up higher where you can see both geysers, but the lift is blocking the way. You only need to freeze the geyser on the left, as the geyser on the right will be closed. Have Brok close the right geyser and the lift will move up, letting you get a clear shot at the left geyser. Throw your axe at it and the geyser will freeze. Have Brok bring the lift down to close the other geyser, which solves puzzle.
