Dead Island 2: How To Get Fuses

Use your life savings!

Almost every locked location in Dead Island 2 will have some juicy loot for you, whether it’s crafting materials, an upgrade of some sort, or even a brand new weapon, it’ll be there sitting and biding its time until someone picks it up.

These locations come with their challenges however, if you’re not dealing with a horde of zombies then it’ll most likely be a locked door that needs a fuse. The fuse box will be right next to the locked door, taunting you for not having a spare on your person, but you can still get some for yourself before you head out again by reading this guide!

How To Get Fuses | Dead Island 2

Fuses are like VIP passes you need to show to the bouncer to let them know you’re legit. They’re quite rare so you can expect them to be rather expensive.

You can still find some of them scattered around the HELL-A and also buy them from certain NPCs if you have the money for them.

Your first option is through Carlos, the mechanic at Emma’s Mansion. He’ll sell one or two for $1500, which is a lot of money even for non-apocalypse standards.

The good thing about being able to buy from Carlos is his stock replenishes over time, so you really won’t have a shortage of the item as long as you have the money for it.

You can use the fuses you bought back at Colt’s Mansion near the gate where you used the second keycard or the garage near Emma’s Mansion while you’re on your way to the Halperin Hotel.

Don’t expect much from the first two locations though because these will most likely have low-level items that you’ll end up selling later!
