New World: Is Season Pass Worth It?

New Season, new grinding!

Season Passes can be a mixed bag, they can either be just great bonuses that you get like in Deep Rock Galactic. Or they can be the most predatory thing that only demons in hell can think of like Diablo Immortal Season Passes.

It can be a great way to get free stuff in your game or it can lead to soul-crushing grind and repetitiveness just to get that crumb of resources.

Games these days love having Season Passes, and in New World, we’ll take a look if the paid track of their Season Pass is worth the trouble.

Is Season Pass Worth It In New World?

So how does the Season pass in New World works?

Well, when you’re in the game you can go to the escape menu and go to the Season Pass, there you can find the two tracks for the Season Pass. The one on the top is the free ones while the ones on the bottom are the paid ones.

Even if you get the paid one you can still get the free ones so you’d think that’s double the rewards right? Well is it really worth it?

First off, the free tracks are already really good on their own already with a lot of Boosters, Marks of Fortune, and other materials for you to use and to ease up that grind.

The free track also includes the new Flame Cores, and in our guide to craft Human Trophies, we go more in-depth on how to make them using these Flame Cores.

The Paid one has the added bonus of getting you legendary chests, which depending on your progression in the game can either be good or doesn’t really help you. It also includes more of what the free track already has as well as a bunch of chests at the final stretch of the Season Pass.

It really comes down to how much you play the game and how much are you willing to grind the Season Pass. If you’re a casual player then the paid track might not be for you, but for those who like to grind these things and get more stuff then it’s totally worth it.

Just remember to not get your soul crushed by the never-ending grind games give us nowadays with these Season Passes.

It’s not for everyone and if you force it on yourself you’ll lose the fun of playing the game!
