The release of the Missile Silo Monument in Rust has massively changed the game. This new end-game monument provides a large amount of loot for only one run. However, since this is new content added to the endgame of Rust, you may not know much about it.
Nothing much to worry about, however, we’re here to help! In this guide, we will explain to you how you can easily navigate the new area. You will know more about the loot amount, what enemy you’ll face, utilities, or the server wipe timer at the end of the monument.
Missile Silo Loot Guide & Walkthrough
Location
You can find the Missile Silo in the desert biomes. On the outside, you will be able to find several buildings you can walk into. Most of these buildings contain a loot crate in them, so you will want to check them out.
There is also a large white and red climbable radio tower. Along with three watch towers and a locked side door, which is the exit for the Monument after you have finished exploring it. In the middle, you will be able to see a hatch that leads to the Silo itself.
Preparation
Sounds interesting enough, however, let’s make sure you are prepared. This Monument is filled with strong enemies, the scientists. They have a large number of health up to 150 or even 300, which makes them really tanky.
There is also a radioactive debuff if you do not have 25% radiation resistance. Make sure it stays above this number so you do not take damage.
Detailed Walkthrough
Once you have walked into the area, you will be able to spot up to four scientists guarding the area. Make sure you bring enough ammo and healing items/meds to help you sustain after you get in.
Above ground, these scientists are only 150. This means that they should be easier to defeat compared to the enemies you will encounter underground, inside the Silo. On defeating these scientists, you’ll gain access to valuable loot such as ammo, components, resources, weapons and meds.
Now that you know about what you are up against, let’s go find some loot! There are loot crates scattered around the area, up to 10 crates. The first one you can find is the hut building next to the giant radio tower.
Walk into it and you will be able to spot the crate lying to the right side of your screen. On the left, you will see a blue sensor. You will need to acquire a blue keycard and press the red button to open the Silo’s hatch.
For the remaining crates, simply take your time and explore each and every single building. Almost every building you walk in will have a crate in them, so check carefully! After you have obtained 10 crates from the above ground area, let’s go underground.
Use your blue keycard and scan the censor, after that press the button to start opening the hatch to the Missile Silo.
After that, the hatch will open. This opening process takes you 20 seconds. After that, the hatch will start to close itself. Once it closes, there’s no turning back, the only way out is through completing the monument. Be prepared, get as much ammo and meds as you can to help you sustain the exploration.
After that, keep going downwards but pay attention to enemies around you. Scientists from underground are equipped with night vision, they have a health bar of 300. Keep it in mind that you can use flash bangs to buy some time for you to defeat them, or flee from them.
Keep heading deeper and deeper into the monument while also paying attention to any potential threats.
As you walk in, be prepared to fight three scientists. After that, you can walk in the room to your left. There will be a crate inside for you to collect.
Keep heading inside and you will see some scientists to defeat. There will be another crate in the way for you to collect as well.
In the bathroom to your left, you will be able to find another crate.
After that, keep walking deeper and you will see an elevator. You can use this Elevator to go downwards to a lower floor. These elevators can later be used for you to get out of this Silo.
Once you get to the new floor, there will be 6 crates around you. There are two in the main room, two in the room to your left. Collect all those four crates first and we’ll show you the other two.
Once you have collected the four crates, head to the remaining room. This looks like a control room and you will be able to spot another two crates which contain loot.
Next, you can keep using the elevator to go to a newer floor.
After you get out, be aware that you can face some potential enemies. These enemies can spawn at different locations and they do walk around the rooms so it is difficult to tell where they will be. It’s recommended for you to always pay attention.
There is one crate to the left of you when you first walked out of the elevator.
On the shelf there is another crate for you to collect.
After that, keep progressing deeper into the dungeon. In this lower floor, there are 16 scientists for you to fight as you progress. They are spread out so you do not have to worry about having to fight all of them at the same time.
There will be an elevator to your right as you walk in, you can take it to go to the lower floor. However, you will have to work your way back up if you do so. So it’s best to just keep going straight. You can use this elevator to get out of the monument for later.
Then, walk back to the main road and keep walking straight. In front of the door to the office room, you will be able to spot 2 crates on the shelves.
The room which you will walk in, the Admin/Office room, has no loot but there are enemies for you to always be aware of.
On leaving the office room, to your left you will see a bathroom with a crate in it for you to collect.
Keep walking deeper and you will see another elevator, you can use this as your way to get out.
Keep progresing deeper, to your right will be a room. Inside of it you will find another crate.
Next, keep going downwards to the lower floor. You will find another crate along the way. Be ready to shoot any enemies that can be in your way. You don’t know where they are, so always be aware.
Once you’ve gone down the stairs to level -2, you will see two living quarters. There is one crate in the one to your left.
The other living quarter will have two crates for you to collect inside of it.
After you’ve collected your loot, keep going downwards using the stairs. You are now at level -3.
Once you have gone downwards, you will be able to spot a computer room in front of you. Walk into it and you will be able to find one loot crate.
Then, keep heading downwards to the lowest level floor.
Once you have walked in, on the truck, you will be able to find some diesel fuels and one loot crate. Collect those for some more extra loot!
You will also see another object that looks like the image down below. Here’s an important note, do not stand next to these otherwise you take radiation damage, regardless of how much resistance you have.
In the room at the end, you can see that there is a laptop with a timer on it. Once the 24-hour timer runs out, there will be a Server Wipe. A Server Wipe means that NPC activities increase across the map. They currently have no impact, but there will be new events added in the future, according to the developers!
That’s everything, you can go deeper to defeat more scientists for extra loot. However, that’s all for the crates that you can collect. Your best option is to just go back up and use either the elevators or the stairs.
On completion, you will be able to have an amazing amount of loot. This is why we said this addition to the game can massively change the end-game state. We do not know whether these rewards will be reduced or not, so it’s best to collect them now!
The Missile Silo as a new end-game monument in RUST gives an overwhelming amount of loot. However, they can be challenging if you aren’t prepared.
