Usually in MMORPGs there’s a player market that you can go through to buy what you need. Be it consumables like potions or gear from armor to weapons, it’s a great place to quickly get what you need. You can also get them from NPC traders and some games even limit the selling and buying of items to just these traders, which makes sense because there has to be a money sink somewhere or the game’s economy will go crazy. In this guide we’ll show you how to use the Black market in Albion Online, a market ran by the game for players to sell their stuff.
Black Market Guide For Albion Online
When you play Albion Online for the first time you might have noticed a few things, you can’t really sell stuff to the NPCs! That’s because the game focuses on a player-driven economy, where you buy and sell stuff from players. It combines with the many mechanics the game has to make things interesting, like certain resources only being found in areas where PVP is possible.
There is one place where you can sell your good though, and that’s the Black Market, a market ran by the game.
The Black Market can only be accessed in the city of Caerleon and it has an interesting way on how it works. When you open a chest in the game, or defeat a monster and they drop an item, the black market has a chance of generating a buy order for that item.
That means the more people defeat a monster or open a chest, the more buy orders there are. When there’s too much buy orders the game will increase the price of existing buy orders.
Just like the other markets in the game you can either sell directly to an existing buy order, or make a sell order and set the price to what you want.
So when the price of the item reaches your sell order, it’ll be sold, just as long that it reaches there.
Item Quality is considered a different item, for example you can’t sell a normal quality item to a good quality buy order. You can however sell a good quality item to a normal quality buy order.
Congratulations you now know how the black market in Albion Online works, now go out there, play the game and sell the loot to the black market!
