I did the puzzle panic so you can just open the dang door.

So you’re sprinting down dark hallways, getting jumpscared by robots, and then, bam, a keypad. Again. Welcome to Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic, where nothing says “fun” quite like a puzzle mid-panic. Don’t worry, I’ve already slammed my head against every locked door in the game so you don’t have to. Whether you’re trying to find collectibles, reels, or just figure out how the heck to get out of a clown showroom, this guide has every working door code and puzzle solution, complete with the lore bits that come with them.

All Code Combinations Puzzles

In Secret of the Mimic, the game cleverly hides combinations behind puzzles, static-filled monitors, documents, and sometimes, just to mess with you, a vent crawl. Most codes are static and will stay the same across playthroughs, except for one: the final boss room code, which is randomized.

Some codes require a security clearance to even attempt, and others need you to progress through the story or collect key items. Below is every known code combo and how to find or solve them, plus my own chaos-fueled playthrough notes.

Mailboxes for door code combinations for puzzles in FNAF Secret of The Mimic.

Welcome Lobby (Cassette Tape Room) – Code: 0158

This one’s kind of a bonus. On the second floor of the Welcome Lobby, there’s a wall panel that unlocks with 0158. Inside is a collectible cassette tape. Not mandatory, but great for story hunters.

Central Security Office (Main Workshop) – Code: 26294

This one’s a freebie, if you know where to look. Watch the four monitors in the central security office carefully. You’ll see a repeating code: 26294. Use it to access a locked door nearby containing a film reel and a collectible. Don’t forget to come back to the bathroom here later once you’ve got Executive clearance, there’s more hidden behind that door.

Birthday Showroom – Code 1: 4782 | Code 2: 0434

To access the Birthday Showroom, you’ll run into two different numpads.

  • Code 1 (4782): I honestly just brute-forced this one by rotating digits until it opened. The keypad is on a door near a giant birthday cake. Behind it is Jackie’s zone, so you’re definitely going the right way.
  • Code 2 (0434): Deeper inside the showroom, crawl through a gift-shaped vent and check the monitor for the code hint (colored blocks, very retro). Enter 0434 at the next keypad to continue.
    • Tip: In the room after this keypad, there are two levers you can pull. They make a noise when activated, some players suspect they unlock access to a hidden moon level.

Admin Wing – Code: 01350

This puzzle takes some actual detective work. There are mailboxes with changing codes and timestamps. Here’s the short version of how the code evolves:

  • Dec 1, 12:30PM – Code starts at 49762
  • Bob adds +300 = 50062
  • Wally changes first two digits to 29
  • Penny changes them to 21
  • Bob, being full of himself, changes to 01
  • Penny sets last two digits to 50 (Bev’s age)
  • Bob adds another 300 = 01350

Long story short? Just enter 01350 and save yourself the math. Mailbox snooping optional.

Retail Showroom – Code: 80625

Before anything else, you’ll need Executive clearance to access it.

Once you’ve maxed out your security level, go back to the starting area. A door opposite the central security room leads to a monitor that displays the needed code. But there’s a catch: the monitor’s info only makes sense after checking the mail sequence in the real-world area and watching for static patterns.

The final code? 80625. Enter it in the Retail Showroom, back by the merry-go-round, and enjoy what’s behind the curtain. It’s worth it.

Tip: The mail logs in the Retail area reference how to figure out the door code. But if you’re lazy (me), just head to Storage and check the monitor behind the “Retail Showroom” door. Much easier.

Big Top Clown Showroom Lobby Room – Code: Randomized

This code’s a wildcard, it’s different for everyone. The clown room puzzle is based on icons that change every playthrough, so no universal answer here.

Here’s how I solved mine: look at the board with icons near the keypad, then head to the balcony and check the statues below. Each statue has a number hidden behind it, match the hat shape to the icon order and boom, that’s your code.

You’ll probably have to move around a bit to get a good angle (I had to do some awkward crouch-spinning to see one of them). And if the code doesn’t work, double-check the hats, some of them look weirdly similar.

Once you’ve cracked it, type it in and the door opens up to the next area.

Secret Ending Code – Erwin’s House, Randomized (Look for DAVID)

The final boss room code is randomized. It doesn’t follow the same rules as the others.

How to get it: Watch the video reels you collect throughout the game. At the end of each reel, a number appears. Memorize the number and the color of each film reel. Piece all the numbers together to form the code. Look for the letters DAVID as a clue during your run. It’s tricky, but if you’ve watched all the tapes, you should have what you need.

If you want a deeper dive into this, I’ve got a full guide on all the video tape puzzle solutions and where to find them in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic, trust me, it’ll save you a lot of wandering.

Wrap-Up

And there you have it, every known code in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic, plus the logic (or lack thereof) behind each puzzle. While some codes are dead simple, others require clearance upgrades, log-checking, or weird clown games. Hopefully, this saved you a few grey hairs and a lot of aimless vent-crawling. And remember: even when the doors are locked, the jump scares never are. Happy unlocking, and try not to get caught.

If you’re a completionist (or just really into picking up trash), check out our guide on all Basement Trash Recycling Center cube locations in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic. You’ll need every last one to unlock the Maintenance area, and trust me, they’re sneakier than they look.
