Security Guard’s Safe Key Location
The safe can be found here on the map. However, you will still need to find the key. Luckily, the key isn’t that far away.
Follow the driveway down to the parking lot, and you can see that there is a zombie dressed up as a security from the hotel. This one is special because this one is currently being electrocuted to the point where by the time you get to him, he will be dead.
Once the guard is dead, he will drop the Security Guard’s Safe Key, which you can pick up and open the safe that was in the security station.
Cable Guy’s Van Key Location
Cable Guy’s van is located here, in the middle of Alpine Drive. Once you walk down the road, you should be able to spot the cable van, but no Cable Guy.
Cable Guy is actually not too far from the van, just a few feet up ahead. However, you will need to be careful attacking him, because the Cable Guy is releasing bursts of electricity from his body.
If you get caught, you will get a large chunk of damage to your health. Stay back and attack from a distance if you have ranged weapons. If not, then use knife attacks for quick attacks.
Brock’s Safe Key Location
Before you do this, you need to continue the story until you experience nighttime. After that, you will need to head to this house in Beverly Hills.
In the house, there is a large infected named Goat Pen Brock. You will need to defeat him in order for him to drop his safe key.
He’s a bit hard to fight, as he is a big guy and his attacks will take a large chunk of your health, but he is also slow. Use that to your advantage and you will take him down and get the key in no time.
Goat Pen Keycard Location
Inside a bedroom, there will be a streamer set up that has three monitors on the desk. Look at the left side of the desk and you will find the Goat Pen Keycard.
You can then use that Goat Pen Keycard to open any part of the house that requires that keycard.
Safe-Deposit Key 09
The Safe-Deposit Key 09 can be found in the same room where the safe deposit boxes are. Go to the table in the middle, and you will find the key there.
Safe-Deposit Box Key 33
The Safe-Deposit Box Key 33 can be found in a closed elevator. To find it, you will need to look for two sets of elevator doors.
The one on the left is open and you can see the elevator shaft.
The one on the right is closed, and the only way to open it is by pressing the button (after getting the I’ll Be Waiting file). Once the door opens, you will see a group of zombies eating a dead body.
Kill all of the zombies and one of them will drop the Safe-Deposit Box Key 33.
Safe-Deposit Box Key 14
Safe-Deposit Key 14 can be found in this hotel room.
You will need to search for a hotel hallway where an area is scorched and black. Look to the left, and you will find a room with a couple of zombies.
Clear the room and you will find the key in the corner of the room, next to a briefcase.
Safe-Deposit Key 49
For Safe-Deposit Key 49, you will need to find a room where the vent on the ceiling is open. Once you do, jump up and crawl through the vent.
You will find a trail of blood when crawling through. Follow it and it will eventually lead you to the key.
Safe-Deposit Key 53
The last key is Safe-Deposit Key 53, and you will need to run through the hotel until you reach this area. There is a half-broken door on the left. Go left and enter the room.
There will be a couple of infected left in the room, but you can go past them and enter the bathroom. The key will be next to the bathtub.
Curtis Safe Key Location
You’ll have to come back to his mansion after you visit Beverly Hills and finish the story mission “Justifiable Zombicide.”
After that, you can come back to Bel-Air at your earliest convenience and find his lawyer that has the key, no lock picking required!
To get the key to the safe you need to head out to the backyard and move into the guest house to the right.
Crystal the Lawyer will be there waiting for you so take her out as soon as you can as she still counts as a Screamer. Unless you like fighting endless hordes of zombies it’s best to put a cap in her to get the keys to the safe back at the wine cellar.
And that’s the location of Curtis’ safe key, now move back into the house and open the safe to get yourself a shiny new Tactical Heavy Revolver.
You might want to hold on to it for a while if you don’t meet the level requirements for it, or if you enjoy a little bit of insanity you can sell it to get yourself a fuse from Carlos!
Halperin Security Safe Key
The keys to the safe are being carried by a unique zombie called Hotel Security, they can be found near the security kiosk or at the lower levels where the parking lot is.
The zombie won’t spawn until you finish your business at the hotel though so make sure you’ve already dealt with Becki the Bride for the guy to show up.
Head over to the parking garage southeast of the kiosk, the Hotel Security zombie is well-armored so you’re going to have to aim for the head when you get the chance.
Make use of the elements nearby and electrocute any extra zombies that come your way including the Crusher in the back.
You can also just cheese it and lure one of each zombie out of the parking garage to make the fight easier, don’t worry no one’s looking so there’s no shame in doing it!
After you finish the fight and get the keys, take them back to the kiosk and destroy the two panels to get access inside. You have to smash the window and trigger an alarm to get the maglock to open, but there really isn’t much to loot inside apart from the metal locker and the security safe itself.
Use the key on the safe to get the Violent Machete and say your final goodbyes to the hotel!
Eschaton Safe Key Location
Before you can get this open, you will need to complete the game’s main campaign. After that, you will need to return to this location on the map.
Here, you will find the Eschaton Doctor, who has the safe key with him.
The Eschaton Doctor will emit electric blasts repeatedly when you fight him, so it’s better to use ranged weapons to take him out.
Once the Eschaton Doctor is dead, he will drop the Eschaton Safe Key.
Box Office Safe Key Location
Before you can open the Theater Box Office safe, you will need to complete the game’s main campaign. Once you have, go to this location and you will have to find an infected by name of Nick the Usher.
Nick the Usher will be located here, and he will have a larger health bar than normal infected. Since infected with special names tend to have larger health bars, this applies to Nick the Usher.
You can use either melee or ranged attacks to kill him, it won’t matter because as soon as he dies, he drops the Box Office Safe Key.
Patient Lockbox Key Location
Before you attempt this, you will need to complete the game’s main campaign. If you haven’t, then the infected that has the key will not spawn in.
Once you have, head to this location and look for an infected with the name Derailed Patient.
The Derailed Patient infected will emit an electric field that will cause some damage. And the fact that it’s in the water, you will need to avoid approaching it and being in the water.
Use ranged weapons like guns to shoot it from afar and grab the key when it dies.
Lifeguard Kit Box Key Location
To get the Lifeguard Kit Box to open, you will first need to get a key. That key can be found here on the beach.
However, you will need to fight the Beach Hunk, which is a large infected that can deal a lot of damage if the attacks he dishes out make contact with you.
Either use ranged weapons to deal with him, or you can use quick melee weapons to attack and run away. Successfully finishing him off will drop the key in the process.
CDC Disposal Key Location
To get the Suspicious Container to open, you will need to get the CDC Disposal Key. That key can be found on an NPC named CDC Viscera Cleaner.
Ironically, the CDC Viscera Cleaner is doing a lot of vomiting than cleaning, so it’s best to stay away from him while he does so.
Use ranged weapons like guns to take him out while keeping him at a safe distance. Once he’s down, you can pick up the CDC Disposal Key from his body.
Luigi’s Famiglia Key Location
To open the Famiglia Storage Box, you will need to get the Famiglia Key. That key, however, was last seen with Luigi Jr. You can find Luigi Jr. at the bottom of the pier.
Luigi Jr. is a little erratic and fast, so you better hit him from afar and take him down with a gun or some sort of ranged weapon. You also need to watch out for his Crusher buddy, because he will surely crush you if you aren’t careful.
But, once both are down, you can pick up the Famiglia Key off of Luigi’s corpse.
Serling Reception Key Location
The key to open the Serling Reception Safe can be found at the Serling Hotel on the second floor.
The Serling Concierge zombie can be found wandering in that area, but she will most likely be found here as shown in the image above.
If she is there, then you can simply shoot the barrels and let the fire and explosion deal with the zombie. Once the Serling Concierge is dead, simply go down and get the key.
Mall Cop’s Luggage Key Location
In order to open Officer Wilson’s Luggage, you will need to find Officer Wilson first. He can be found here on the map.
Officer Wilson will be in protective gear, so guns will not be of any use. Instead, use powerful melee weapons to make quick work of Officer Wilson.
Once he’s dead and gone for good, you can pick up the Mall Cop’s Luggage Key.
Guest’s Keepsake Key Location
To open up the Guest’s Keepsake Box, you will need the Keepsake Key. You will need to kill the special infected named Serling Hotel Guest, which is located in this back alley on the map.
The Serling Hotel Guest is a rather normal zombie with large health. However, it is accompanied by Shamblers and other infected.
Melee or ranged weapons can be used here, but I would prefer range to stay away from danger.
Randage Security Key Location
The Randgate Secure Case cannot be opened unless you have the Randgate Security Key first. To get that, you will need to go here and enter the underground parking garage.
Once you are in the underground parking garage, look for the Randaget Staff infected.
It will emit electro shocks when it spots you, so melee attacks are not a good idea to deal with this guide. Instead, use range weapons like guns to pick it off. Once it’s dead, pick up the key.
Server Room Safe Key Location
Before you start this, you will need to complete the Scooped side quest first. This will automatically start as soon as you approach the building.
Once inside, you will need to find the key first, which is placed here on this very inviting puddle of blood on the ground.
Once you have found the safe key, head to the bottom floor and you should be able to find the server room, which has the safe inside.
Newsroom Hard-Case Key Location
After completing the Scooped side quest, you will then need to go back into the building to look for the key.
In the hallways of the building, there should be an NPC named Talk Show Guest. This big fella will have the key in him, and he will spit out fire if you get too close.
A good way to deal with him is by using ranged weapons like guns. Once he’s done, you can then pick up the key.
Once you have the key, head to the newsroom and you will find the hard-case between these three chairs.
Custodian’s Locker Key Location
First of all, you will need to complete the Missing Rainer quest. Without it, you will never be able to find the Custodian’s Locker Key.
Once you have completed the quest, you will then be able to pick up the Custodian’s Locker Key.
After getting the key, you can then head into this room and open the Custodian’s Locker with the key you picked up.
Electrician’s Keys Location
To open the Electrician’s Toolbox, you will need the Electrician’s Key. On the map, there is a black portion that’s scribbled out. That is where a destroyed street block is, and you can find the Faulty Electrician there.
The Faulty Electrician is a zombie that can emit electronic shockwaves. You will get hurt if you get too close, so the best way to deal with this is by using your guns to shoot him from afar.
Once he’s dead, then you go in and pick up the key from his body.
Space Fox 2250 Prop Key Location
This key is just nearby where the chest is. To the southwest of the chest shown on the image below just follow the path there. You’ll soon go to a dead end.
At the dead end you’ll see the Space Fox Prop Master, and he’s a zombie now. That means you can eliminate him and get the key from his corpse! When you do kill him though, the key drops on the ground and might be a bit hard to find.
If the zombie doesn’t appear for you then you might have missed him as you slaughtered everyone in the area so, check the ground for the key. If you’re sure he hasn’t spawned, then maybe you’ll need to progress through the story first!
Kelli Jo’s Suitcase Key Location
If you find Kelli Jo’s suitcase in the trailer, then all you need to do is head east through building 3. You can use the image below as a reference on where this damn zombie is!
There near the road you’ll find a bunch of zombies along the named zombie Kelli Jo. Just destroy the zombies, kill the target and it’ll drop the loot on the floor. The loot includes the key for the suitcase!
Now all you need to do is go to the trailer where the suitcase is and open it up to get the loot inside!
Security’s Cooler Key Location
To get the key for this cooler you’ll need to head to the east going inside Normandy Sunrise.
You can use the image above as a reference, go there until you find a trailer. That’s the area that the Monarch Security zombie spawns, so make sure to check that place and kill that zombie. He will drop the keys and you can go back to the cooler and get the loot.
Sometimes he goes inside the trailer so if he’s not outside, go inside the trailer and check there. Keep an eye out on the ground for the key.
If the zombie doesn’t spawn for you then make sure that you’ve progressed through the game’s story enough that it will.
Military Courier’s Key Location
It’s pretty easy to not miss the Military Courier’s Case when you first stumble into the Halperin Hotel, yeah sure the hotel has 313 rooms, but you have game limitations to thank for not having to go through every single one of them! You do have to progress through the main story first so have this guide handy on a monitor nearby until you do.
The first mission you’ll need to finish is “Room Service for Major Booker”, finish that along with Becki the Bride and you’ll even have access to the Halperin Security Safe as a consolation.
Come back to the hotel at a later time once you get to Monarch Studios and finish the quest “Kwon with the Wind” to clear another quest called “The Ravages of Caustic X.”
Complete that side quest and you can come back to the lobby of the hotel and knock out a few zombies to spawn in the Military Courier.
He’ll drop the keys to the Courier’s Case which contains a Relentless Military Axe, the power will change depending on your level so it’s definitely better to come back for it later rather than sooner.
Fancy Leather Trunk Key Location
Going back and forth between places is a recurring theme in Dead Island 2, and the Halperin Hotel is no stranger to that along with the Venice Beach Police Station.
To get closer to unlocking the fancy leather trunk you’ll have to complete the main story quest “The Search for Truth” first before returning to the hotel.
Now go back to the hotel and make a right turn as soon as you enter the lobby, don’t let any mundane fears get in your mind as you crawl through the busted elevator leading to the upper floors. Go down the corridor to your left to find a new zombie spawn, the “Mutated Guest.”
You should have guns at this point so deflate the life out of the walker to have it drop the Fancy Leather Trunk Key, go back to the leather trunk and open it to get a few materials along with the Tenacious blueprint. And that’s one less locked chest in Halperin Hotel!
Laundry Room Locker Key Location
There’s plenty of wacky guests that will come around every time you go back to the Hotel, its Los Angeles after all, so go finish the eighteenth main quest first which is “Plumbing the Depths” before coming back to spawn in your next target.
You would already know where the laundry room is at this point so go through the lobby first and through the busted window in the ballroom to find the Karaoke Bridesmaid lingering out in the back. Show her how you hit a proper high note to get her to drop the Laundry Room Locker Key for you along with a few other materials.
This is your next destination after you get rid of the bridesmaid, go up the winding staircase and through the double doors until you reach a section of the room on the second floor with a pink neon sign in it.
And that’s how you unlock the Laundry Room Locker! For your efforts? An Electrocutor Pole Saw! The power level will vary depending on your current level, but it’ll definitely hit like a truck on your way to the Fancy Leather Trunk Key!
Poolside Container Key Location
he Poolside Container in Dead Island 2 won’t be the only thing you’ll be coming back for, there’s a few more scattered around the hotel along with the other major locations you’ve been to as well. But for now you’re going to have to finish “Michael Anders and the Holy Grail” before you make your return.
Finish that quest and travel back to the hotel, but you’re not going in just yet. This time you’ll be looking for the Sunbather zombie that’s roaming around the streets.
He doesn’t have any table manners so dodge his spit attacks every time you score a hit, repeat the process until his vision starts to darken permanently and the Poolside Container key will eventually drop on the ground. Make the fight easier by using the explosive barrels nearby!
Now go back to the pool and lob any explosive you can towards the pulsating sludge packets to avoid getting a rash. Inside of the Poolside Container will be $250 in cash (if anyone asks, you got it from playing Blackjack) and a Puncturator Composite Sledgehammer. Perfect if you like getting up close and personal with your targets. Check back in another time if you’re short on good weapons to use!
Foreman’s Key Location
In the southern parts of the Beverly hill map, you can find a mansion. The entrance is to the south near the road and in that entrance is where the key is. You’ll just need to kill the zombie that’s holding it!
That zombie being the Site Foreman, this hulking mass of zombie flesh is your ticket to that Construction Team’s Safe. The Site foreman can be a bit tanky so bring out your best weapons for the job! The Foreman can also do ranged attacks as it shoots projectiles out of its torso so watch out for those.
Once you’ve defeated the Site Foreman it’ll drop some leveled loot as well as the Foreman’s Key. Now all you need to do is go inside the mansion, up the second floor and the safe should be in a closet there.
Brentwood Waste Key Location
To the western parts of the Beverly Hills map, you’ll find a waste management plant. There you can find just outside the entrance the key for the Brentwood Waste key Location. The only problem is it’s with a zombie!
The zombie you’re looking for is the zombie called “Brentwood Staff.” You’ll need to kill this slightly more tank zombie and they’ll drop some loot. The zombie will also drop the Brentwood Waste key, which you’ll need to open the Brentwood Waste Bin.
The zombie is a bit tougher than others but the broken electricity pole hazard next to it can help you out a bit. The wires can stun the zombie when it stands on it and that’s an easy way for you to get some shots in.
If the zombie isn’t there, then that means you haven’t progressed through the story enough that it spawns there. Make sure you progress through the story and try again.
Coach’s Car Keys Location
To find the Coach’s Car Keys in Dead Island 2 you’ll need to head west from the car following the road. To the right is a staircase going up to the tennis court and in the far corner is where you can find the key. The thing is the key is on a zombie!
The zombie you’re looking for is Coach Ace and he can be a bit tougher than your average zombie. Make sure you have a good weapon for this fight so that you can take him down. Once he’s dead, well permanently dead I mean, he’ll drop the keys.
Now all you need to do now is to go back to the car, open the trunk and get the loot inside! If the Coach doesn’t spawn, there then you’ll need to make sure you progress the story first so they can spawn.
Nikki’s Prize Key Location
In the Beverly Hills map, you can find a safe inside one of the western houses there. The thing is the safe is locked, to find the key you’ll need to go to the northern part of the house outside. There you’ll find the zombie that has the key!
The zombie that I’m talking about is the one named “Target Practice” and this little bugger can be quick. It’ll scurry right at you and try to dice you up with dual blades. Make sure it doesn’t get near you and blast it from afar.
Once the zombie is dead you can collect the loot including the key for the safe! For those who don’t know where it is, it’s in the second floor of the house inside the close of the bedroom.
If the zombie isn’t there and didn’t spawn, then that means you’ll need to progress through the story first.
Michael’s Safe Key Location
Before you even go and look for the key you’ll need to progress to Jessie’s home in the story. Then you’ll need to go to the eastern area of the Beverly hills map shown below. In front of the house is where you can find the zombie that you need to kill for the key to drop!
The zombie is called “Michael’s Protege” and is a zombie that’s tougher than normal ones. Luckily for you it’s still a simple zombie model so you can stun lock it with melee weapons or just shoot it down. Once you’ve defeated the protege loot the key that drops on the ground.
No go inside the home and in the living room beneath the flat screen TV is Michael’s Safe. Now the loot inside is all yours!
Biohazard Container Key Location
In the center of the Beverly Hills map is a large mansion that has a locked bio container inside it. To get the key for that container you’ll need to go out to the road and turn left. There, behind a military vehicle and next to an ambulance is your target. A zombie that you need to kill to get the key!
The zombie you need to defeat is one that’s called “SSG. Hernandez” which is the most army man name you can think of. This enemy is tough so be sure you’re in the right level before you tackle this zombie, or you can be like me and die again and again till I defeat him through luck.
Once defeated he’ll drop the Biohazard Container Key.
Once you defeat SSG. Hernandez and get the key you can then go back to the giant mansion. The container is on the first floor next to some garbage bins.
Garage Safe Key Location
If you found the garage safe first, then you’ll have to do a bit of running to get to the key. The key can be found in the eastern side of the Beverly Hills map. There at the end of the road you’ll find the zombie you need to kill for the key.
The zombie in question is the Nosy Neighbor zombie, which is just a funny name for it. It’s just the normal zombie model but with a higher level so it won’t be a problem. Just match the level or even fight it while below the level, it’s an easy fight.
Watch out for some special zombies that spawn in the area though. This can be a bit more annoying to deal with.
Once you defeat the Nosy Neighbor it’ll drop the key on the ground as well as some loot. Now go to the garage of the northwestern house in the map and there you’ll find the safe. Now all the loot inside is yours for the taking!
Bouncer’s Key Location
To find the key to the Party Contraband Case don’t need to go far. In the same area, just outside on the first floor near the pool is the zombie you need to beat up. For those who don’t know where this building is, it’s the southeastern house in the Beverly Hills map.
The zombie is the Party Bouncer and at first glance you can tell it’s not the normal zombie you deal with in droves. This zombie is a bit tougher and if you see a skill instead of a level next to the name then reconsider. You need to defeat it to get the key.
Once the zombie has experienced it’s final death you can get the loot and the key on the ground. You can then go back to the second floor of the building and claim your loot!
The Party Bouncer hits hard so try not to get hit by its meaty hands. It also does a ground slam attack that sends a shockwave, you can jump over it to not get damaged. Shooting at it from afar or stunning it with an electric melee weapon is advised.
Lt. Land’s Case Key Location
Lt. Land will need some help getting himself unstuck from one of the nearby landing crafts that are left beached on the shore. That can be accessed inside the makeshift military base that’s been setup on the west side of the map.
Here’s the map with the base drawn in, once you get to the area where we’re currently hovering over at, you’ll see three landing crafts that are socially distanced from one another.
Head for the one on the right and vault over to begin the fight.
That’s him right there, officer! He’s by his lonesome so this fight won’t really last long, you can make it even quicker by blowing him back to the Stone Age using the explosive barrel nearby.
Thank him for his service and grab Lt. Land’s Case Key before you head back into the tents for a debrief.
Delgado’s Supply Case Key Location
In order to take the keys from Pvt. Delgado, you need to have already finished the “REDACTED” side quest. You can do that by killing Lt. Ford in one of the tents inside of the military base setup on the shore.
If you’ve been listening to the logs inside of the lifeguard tower, the game will let you know that Delgado’s last known location is near container 66, which is in a crate directly behind the tower.
After that you’ll get the Lifeguard Tower Keycard that grants you access to Delgado’s supply case. Now the only thing left to do is find the Pvt. Delgado carrying the keys.
A Crusher zombie might get in your way, but aside from that dealing with him is a breeze as he only classifies as a normal walker.
Give him light tap on the head with a bullet to get his Supply Case Key. Run back to the second floor of the tower to get yourself a copy of the Mutilator Pistol. Now you have another toy to play with! Try it out on Lt. Land by the shore if you haven’t already to get his keys as well!
Rose’s Storage Key Location
Rose is a Tattoo artist in a previous life, now she’s a screamer just like the one you destroyed back at Curtis’ house when you robbed the revolver off his wine cellar. It’s all good though, he did give you the house for saving him.
To find Rose just run all the way past the Blue Crab Grill until you reach the end of the street, sometimes she can be seen near the Burger ’66 as well, but she won’t go further than those two places.
Make pipe down for eternity while dealing with the other zeds that come towards you and she’ll eventually retire and leave you with her Storage Key. Now you can just run all the way back to Roses Tattoo right across the Bike and Skate Rentals place to unlock the storage key.
Remember to close the shutters on your way in! You’ve done enough fighting for the day, now interact with her storage box to get the Black Magic baseball bat. If she doesn’t spawn for you try reloading a save or entering and exiting the area a few times to force her in.
Officer’s Lockbox Key Location
To find the officer responsible for inconveniencing you with the locked box he left behind, you need to have already finished the side quest “Cold Pork” where you have to loot the Venice Beach Police station for the greater good.
After you finish that quest, you can immediately come back to start hunting down the officer nearby. If they don’t appear then you can always reload the area by travelling elsewhere. If the special zombie does appear, he’ll be located southwest of the Venice Beach Police Station. You’ll find him near the parked armored car without any shoes on.
For this heinous misbehavior, give Officer Mckenzie a good beatdown and he’ll eventually comply and give you the keys to the Secure Lockbox back at the station. Go to the southeastern door if you don’t want to go through the entire station just to get to the storage room.
What you’ll get from the lockbox is a Puncturator Nightstick, not as good as the Destructive Heavy Revolver you can get from Lt. Land’s case but having a backup melee weapon is always nice. Now go and loot everything else from the station, the loot respawns from time to time you know.
Burger ’66 Locker Key Location
You can find the Burger 66 Server southwest of the Venice Beach police Station if you’re looking at it from your map.
The special zombie will be hanging around the fountain and can be easily taken down from a distance. Empty a few rounds into it and it’ll eventually drop the Burger ’66 Locker Key for you.
Strongman Cooler Key Location
The West Coast Weights Cooler isn’t really difficult to find as there’s only one gym in the area that you can go to, and that’s on the north side right next to the makeshift military base. It’s inside of the blue container south of the venue, but the announcer carrying the keys is bumbling around elsewhere. Here’s where you need to go.
Face east and run towards the Fatburg restaurant, it’s the last building alongside Venice Beach and the location of the announcer Jake Jones. After taking him out, get the keys to the cooler.
No, he hasn’t been doing leg day because he goes down rather easily, plus he’s wearing an apron. Now go back to West Coast Weights to claim your loot!
Gang Green Safe Key Location
Finding the weed shop is easy, its right next to the Skate Things store on the northern side of the beach. What is also easy but slightly tedious is the fact that you’re going to have to do a side quest to open the back gate leading to the interior.
You’re looking for the “Lost and Found” side quest, and your target is Pablo. Head over to the missing person’s board at the Sterling Hotel on Ocean Avenue to get started if you haven’t already.
He’ll eventually pop up and give you another side quest that will reward you with the key to the Gang Green weed shop.
The last problem is dealing with the employee that ran off with the keys to the store safe. Luckily he didn’t get far as he’s just in the park where the Police Station is!
The target you’re looking for is Roach, he’s a normal walker and doesn’t really pose a threat to you so cut his life into pieces and get the Gang Green Safe key from whatever’s left of him.
Go back to the store, unlock the safe to get the Leeching Club melee weapon, and maybe visit West Coast Weights to see if they have anything that needs unlocking!
Starla’s Safe Key Location
After you finish the main story, you’re probably not ready to let go of the game just yet, so a little bit of cleaning up is in order. Once the credits stop rolling you can head over to the bottom of the bleachers in the image provided above to find the location of Starla’s Award Show Safe. Only question now is, where’s Starla?
Well, she’s right down the boulevard of course! Right next to the old Mann’s Chinese Theatre. Come on down and say hello with the sharpest weapon in your arsenal, the fight will take a while as she is a Crusher, that and you have other zeds joining in for a selfie from all directions.
After your breath-taking performance with Starla, you’ll get Starla’s safe key as soon as you finish your business with her and you’re basically free to go back to the safe you found earlier underneath the bleachers. It’s an endgame weapon in Dead Island 2 after all so maybe this time you’ll finally feel how violent a melee weapon should be!
Ticket Office Safe Key Location
If you want to get close to opening the safe down in the metro you’ll have to finish all of the main story missions first. Yes that means you have to deal with Dr. Reed for one last time before watching your friends fly off into the sunset.
Deal with all of that and then you can go back to the secret door behind the Lotusville shop to get to the Metro Ticket Taker zombie who drops a high-value loot and of course, the Ticket Office Key. How he got this far is just as good a question as any. Now, onto the safe!
Skate Things Safe Key Location
The Skate Things skate shop didn’t really hold out well during the initial outbreak. There’s smoke everywhere, zombies are all over the place, and the safe behind the counter is left unguarded!
This is very poor workplace management, so go find Ollie by the playground if you want to get the key. You can’t miss the place as there’s only one major playground along Venice Beach.
There’s only one thing you may need to worry about Ollie, he’s a runner, a fast one. Other than that, he’s made out of paper so give him a quick hack and slash if you want to knock the Skate Things Safe Key out of him.
We hope this guide helped you find all the treasure keys in Dead Island 2 and enjoy the rewards they offer. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them below. Happy hunting!
NOTE: These locations list is WIP (Work-In-Progress), please let us know if we missed any locations in the comments below!
