Arcane Lineage is a game on Roblox that focuses on turn-based combat. With a plethora of weapons and accessories, available players are free to experiment with different builds and take on the ruthless enemies and bosses found in the world. The game has multiple regions that players can explore on their own or in a party with friends. This will be a complete guide on the Thorian Boss found in the game.
Thorian Complete Guide
Location
The first step to fighting the boss is to get to its location. For this, you need to head to the entrance of Deeproot Canopy and then take the path toward the left.
Follow the brown path until you reach the intersection. Here take the brown path towards the right, and you spot an archway in the distance. This means you are on the correct route. Continue forward and pass through the archway while heading in a straight line.
As you continue on this path, you will pass through another arch, and eventually, walking straight, you will see a large pillar beyond which is the edge of the world. Once you see the pillar, head left and climb up the small cliff.
After climbing on the cliff, you will be able to see a similar Pillar as the one seen previously. Head to the right of the pillar, and in the distance, you should be able to see another archway.
Walk through the archway and head straight, and eventually, you should reach the Cess Grounds.
After entering the Cess Grounds, head towards the left and go straight until you spot the first geyser. This can be easily seen due to the Purple Particles that are ejected every time after a few seconds.
From this geyser, take a right, and you should notice a ramp that should take you slightly down. Follow this ramp downwards, and when the surface levels move toward the right and go straight ahead. As you move forward, you should be able to spot the second geyser slightly towards the left.
Head in a straight line from this geyser, and there should be a slight bump in the surface. Jump over and start heading in the left direction. Walk in a straight line, and at the Pillar ahead, take a left. You should spot a ramp that goes upwards.
Take the ramp upwards and walk straight ahead. Slightly towards the left, there should be another ramp going downwards. As you descend on the ramp, you should spot the puzzle that is required to gain access to the boss.
Puzzle
The puzzle involves finding Runes on the path to Thorian and then fitting them in the correct pillars to proceed to the boss fight. Since there are numerous locations, we won’t be able to fit them all into this guide without making it tedious to navigate. Hence, we recommend heading to the Thorian Rune Puzzle section of Arcane Lineage Trello. Scroll to the right, and you should find multiple sets of keys that can be used to brute force this puzzle.
Rotations
Rotation refers to the order in which the players in your party attack. Since this boss fight is tough, we do not recommend taking it on without a party, so make sure that you have one. How turns work in this game is that the first person in the party is the one that has the first turn. The exception to this rule is that if someone else in the party initiates the fight, he/she will have the first turn.
The reason why rotation is so important in this fight is that Thorian gains immunity to the attack type which he was attacked with last. For example, if a player attacks using a Dark-type move in the next turn, he can’t use it again. Using it again will cause Thorian to regain health. This is why you need players with different types of attacks in your party to defeat Thorian. For instance, let’s assume the order of players in the party is Dark, Dark, and Fire.
The best rotation would be to let the second Dark user to initiate the fight. This will allow the Fire-type user to negate the Dark-type immunity in the first turn allowing the second Dark type user to negate the Fire immunity in the final turn. We recommend not having duplicate attacks in the party since that makes rotation slightly trickier. The simplest method is to simply have players with different attack types.
Thorian Moves
The first move that Thorian has is called Overflowing Curse. It involves a minigame in which players have to use the movement keys to protect the heart. If you fail to protect the heart you will be inflicted with the Plague Curse which instantly kills players once it reaches a five stack.
The second move that Thorian has is called the Hexing Burst. It involves a roar that inflicts the Hex debuff on all players.
The next move is called Warped Crush, and this is a move that targets a single player and is a slam-based attack. It can be blocked easily.
The next attack is called Cursed Breath, in which Thorian unleashes an area-based attack that inflicts damage.
In the Cursed Wave attack, Thorian unleashes a slam attack that sends a wave of particles toward a particular player dealing damage to both the player and the adjacent teammate. This attack can also be blocked.
The Plague Rupture attack involves thorns directed toward players that inflict the Vunlnerable and Weakness debuffs. This attack is only carried out when the player is plagued.
Thorian’s last attack is called Blasphemous Obliteration, and it is his strongest attack. It inflicts massive AOE damage and inflicts the Plague debuff on all the players that it hits.
