Arcane Odyssey has just released the new highly anticipated Dark Sea update. The Dark Sea is an incredibly brutal area of the map which has a lot of dangers and mysteries. But it also holds a lot of loot that you can bring back with you if you survive.
Many Roblox players have been struggling with this part though. This is why, in this guide, we will provide you with different tips and tricks when facing the Dark Sea. This will ensure that you can make the most of your travels and get your hands on some good loot in this mysterious area.
Dark Sea Guide
The Dark Sea is very difficult and is still mostly a Mystery because of how dark and brutal it is. Navigation is extremely challenging and even if you manage to get some loot, getting back is a whole other challenge.
This is why there are some preparations that you should make to increase your chances of survival. Additionally, we will also give you some strategies that will help you survive and get back with some good loot.
Getting Dark Sealed Chests
The main way of finding Dark Sealed Chests is by finding Islands and Ships on the Dark Sea and battling the Atlantean NPCs there.
They are incredibly tough, and you will need to be prepared to fight them.
Once you beat them, look around the buildings on the Island and you should be able to locate Dark Sealed Chests hidden in the area.
Bring them back to the Brig, and you can continue with your exploration.
Brig and Galleon Preparation
Going to the Dark Sea in a rowboat is practically a death wish. Instead, you want to get a Brig with at least 85% Stability. The reason for this Stability is that the Dark Sea goes through varying amounts of Roughness, which will impact your Stability.
A high Stability will ensure that you can go through the Dark Sea, no matter how rough it gets.
Additionally, you also want to bring loot with yourself in the form of at least 20,000 Galleons. This will ensure that you can keep repairing your Brig when you take damage.
There are a lot of dangers that your Brig will face, which includes rough seas, sea monsters and more!
Dark Sea Compass
Another thing you will need for your travels to the Dark Sea is the Dark Sea Compass. This is because you cannot see the map on the Dark Sea, as it will be in complete darkness.
Also, if you go to the Dark Sea with a normal compass, it will simply break and stop working.
The Dark Sea Compass is obtainable from all chests in the game. You will simply need to open up chests until you are able to find one.
The Dark Sea Compass has an arrow with a white and purple end. The Purple end points towards the Dark Sea while the White end points towards the Bronze Sea.
So, you will be using the Purple to navigate through the Dark Sea and the White when you are leaving the Dark Sea with loot.
Risk Management
The main strategy for surviving the Dark Sea is Risk Management. This means that you need to avoid taking unnecessary risks by trying to get as much loot as possible.
For example, if you see a Sea Monster or Ghost Ship while leaving the Dark Sea, do not get baited into it.
It is likely that you will end up losing and losing all the loot that you spent so hard trying to accumulate.
The Dark Sea always has its risks but try to minimize them and ensure that you are making decisions that give you the most success.
Insanity Layers
The Dark Sea goes through different layers of Insanity. At the start, there is no Insanity, and you won’t have to worry about dangers besides Sea Roughness. However, if you have a stable Brig, then this will not be an issue.
However, as you progress through the Dark Sea, you will reach Insanity Layer 1. You will start seeing Sirens spawning. Also, you’ll start noticing water poisoning which will slowly take away your Health.
To get rid of this poisoned effect, you will need to take a bath in the Captain’s Quarters of your Brig. Make sure that you keep checking for water poisoning, as it can sneak up on you and kill you pretty quickly.
At Insanity Layers 2 and 3, the Atlantean Ships become progressively stronger and more frequent. They can do a lot of damage to your Ship so you will need to be prepared for them. Insanity Layers 4 and 5 are practically impossible and you should try your best to escape by Layers 2 and 3.
We recommend that you start off slow by getting used to the Dark Sea at the no Insanity Stage. Once you start getting loot, start going for higher Insanities where you can likely get better loot.
This way, you can slowly get used to the Stages and upgrade your gear and equipment to deal with higher Insanities.
That’s everything you need to know to get used to the Dark Sea. The Dark Sea is still much of a mystery because of how difficult and brutal it can get. We recommend that you also explore on your own and discover other mysteries that will benefit you.
