Picking a class in any RPG can be quite daunting. You can always try out all of them, but most people don’t have the time. In Balanced Craftwars Overhaul, there’s a lot of different classes along with a new one recently added. If you don’t want to try them out and just see what each offers at the start, then this is the guide for you!

In this guide, we’ll show you the different classes you can pick as well as the starting items and mechanics you’ll need to know. Now, let’s see what the different classes are in this game!

Class Picking Guide

There are different classes that you can get in Balanced Craftwars Overhaul and some of them can be quite interesting. Each class has their own strengths and weaknesses, and we’ll show you what you can get from picking them. Now let’s see what these different classes can do.

Melee

The white bread of all RPG classes, the melee class is the one with the highest DPS for starting weapons. You’ll get a Knight’s Sword, Knight’s Armor and Helmet as well has a Grindstone and Hero Gloves.

The DPS for the Knight’s Sword weapon is around 300 and the armor you get will give you around 275 HP in total.

If you want consistency, high DPS and having a lot of health as well as whacking things then this class is for you.

Ranged

The next one is the Ranged Class which will give you a ranged weapon, thus the name. The class starting equipment is the Woodland Bow, Regular Quiver, Rifle Scope and Hunter Scarf.

The class itself can deal some decent damage with the starting equipment having around 180 DPS. You also attack from range with can help with not getting damaged.

If you want shooting a lot of projectiles then this class is for you, since quivers often increase projectile number. There’s also some gear that can give you I-frames when you get damaged which just adds to your survivability.

Mage

The Mage is another ranged class that you can pick, but instead of a bow you wield magic. The starting gear for the mage is a Fire Staff, Viridis Ring and a Mana Scarf.

The fire staff can deal a lot of damage but also deal some damage over time. The weapon can be a bit finicky though since sometimes it doesn’t even damage enemies. It might be by design or a developer oversight.

If you want to control the elements, deal some damage from afar and have a bigger brain than any other class then this one is for you.

Summoner

The Summoner class is the next one on the list and this one can be a bit weak if I’m being honest. The starting gear for this class is the Slime Staff, Woodland Mask and Moonlight Medallion.

The Slime Staff summons two slimes per second and the slimes can deal 21 points of damage. The thing is the slimes can easily be one shot by the weakest of bosses and sometimes they miss which lowers their DPS.

Still, if you like the idea of summoning monsters to fight for you while you lay back and just move around then this class is for you!

Gambler

The newest class in the game is the Gambler and by far has the most mechanics. The starting gear for this class is the Playing Cards Regular, Regular Dice, Acorn Necklace and Lucky Horseshoe.

The class relies on luck for its DPS with its cards dealing different attacks with its cards. Spades can pierce enemies, Clover is a projectile that goes back to you, Diamond is an explosive attack and hearts is a homing attack.

Damaging enemies can sometimes give you chips, these chips can be used to activate a dice. The dice rolls and depending on the number will either give you a debuff or buff.

If you like to gamble on your attacks and perhaps having the highest or lowest DPS depending on RNG then this class if for you!

Those are all the classes in Balanced Craftwars Overhaul. Now go out there and pick a class and experience the game!
