There are a lot of different gear that you can find in Baldur’s Gate 3. And some of them are part of a set. Most of them are just a set by name, they’re not really following the whole MMO shtick of getting bonuses the more of a set you have. Each item gets their own bonuses, and you can still freely mix and match. There are some pretty cool armors and weapons in the game though so you should find them!

In this guide, we’ll show you where to find the Blackguard’s Armor set as well as the Shield of the Undevout. A nice set of armor that not only looks good but also has some nice bonuses! Now let’s see where to find this set.

Blackguard’s Armor Set & Shield of the Undevout

To get the Blackguard’s Armor Set, as well as the Shield of the Undevout, you’ll need to go to the Bhaalist Crypt. This can be accessed in Baldur’s Gate just northeast of the Elfsong Tavern or Northwest of the Basilisk Gate Barracks. Inside one of the houses there is a Cellar Door that leads to the Crypt. You can use the image below as a reference.

Once you’re inside that house, just look for the cellar door shown below. This will send you to the Crypt.

Once you get inside the Crypt, you can then go forward, then right and then right again. You’ll enter this crossroads where there are some corpses next to some big doors. Inside the corpses, you’ll find all of the items of the Blackguard’s Armor Set. This includes the Blackguard’s Plate, Gauntlets, Greaves and Sword as well as the Shield of the Undevout.

The Shield gives enemies a disadvantage on saving throws when you’re using effects or spells that do fear. It also gives the wearer an extra level one spell slot. The Sword is a +2 Longsword that deals an additional 1d4 Necrotic damage. When you use the sword with a Smite, it also has a chance to daze the target.

The Plate reduces all damage incoming damage by 1 point as well as giving your advantage of Wisdom saving throws. The Gauntlets lets you cast Inflict Wounds as well as giving you +1 to Strength Saving Throws and +1 to Attack. Lastly, the Greaves gives you Longstrider as well as +1 to Athletics.

That’s how you get the Blackguard’s Armor Set and the Shield of the Undevout in Baldur’s Gate 3. Now, go out there and try to get it yourself! Make sure to go check out our guide on how find the missing letters if you haven’t already.
