Once you have arrived at the windmill, you will want to get inside of it. You can do this by conducting a lockpick using your deception skills. After that, you can go inside the windmill and head towards the basement of the area.

Inside of the basement, you will be able to see a Mind Flayer. You will then later find out that he is starving and is in need of your help. In order to receive the Feed the Mind Flayer quest, you will want to choose and help him.

After that, you will receive the quest in your Quest Journal. To complete it, you will need to kill a humanoid and pick up the body. This means that the Mind Flayer needs a humanoid to feast on and you will have to do the hunting for him.

Outside of the windmill, you will be able to find some of the NPCs which you can attack. Simply go into your turn-based mode and attack them. It is also very important for you to be sneaky to avoid them detecting you as well as hiding from nearby guards.

If you are ever found by a nearby guard, it is best for you to try and talk to them about it. You can try to deceive, intimidate or persuade them about what has happened. Depending on what skills you have, you can select the right approach for this situation.

Then, you’ll want to head towards the bodies and pick one of them up. Some of them can sometimes get too heavy, which means that you will need to bring an Elixir of Hill Giant Strength. Once you consume the potion, you will be able to pick the body up and bring it to the Mind Flayer.

After that, you can start heading back to the windmill basement. Inside of it, you will see the Mind Flayer waiting for you. You can then choose to offer the mind flayer the body you are carrying. Then, he will consume it and gives you a reward.

You will then see the game’s narrator telling you that you have unlocked some of the knowledge, and finally unlocking a new secret. And that is everything for the Feed the Mind Flayer ending.

Other than that, you can also choose to defeat him instead of feeding him. This will give you a different outcome, you’ll instead receive some useful items like the Mind Flayer’s Brains. Upon consuming the item, you will gain another perk to unlock in the Illithid Powers Menu.
