There are some things that can be easily done in Baldur’s Gate 3. Like waltzing right inside of Ramazith’s Tower and snapping Lorroakan’s spine. Nothing out of the ordinary right? Killing the city’s most prominent magic figure and walking out of Sorcerous Sundries unscathed?
But then, there comes Lady Jannath’s Estate. If you’re reading this guide right now, then you know exactly what we’ve been through in that house. If you feel like the fun has stopped entirely for you while you’re inside of this place, then fear not, we have a few solutions in store for you to get the Artist’s quest over with.
How to Destroy the Skulls at Lady Jannath’s Estate
The Cursed Skulls will appear on the second floor of Lady Jannath’s Estate. They cannot be destroyed unless you deal a flat 50 damage for each one.
You can find Lady Jannath’s Estate by doing the “Free the Artist” quest. It’s right next to the House of Grief, you can get there by using the Baldur’s Gate Waypoint.
The house will start coming down on you the moment you walk up the first flight of stairs. That is of course, if you decide to come in through the front door. Other foes that will hinder your progress in this mansion will be the Poltergeists and Tormented Souls disguised as red candelabrums.
Get rid of all the poltergeists and tormented souls first on the second and third floor. If you can, have them go to you in order to prevent the skulls from flinging you down to the service area.
They’ll appear as enemies if you end up in a combat situation, but you can worry about them later as they won’t be doing anything else.
There are multiple ways to deal with the cursed skulls, especially the remaining four on the next two floors. Your first option is to cast Remove Curse on the skull and proceed to throw it out of the window out of pure spite.
However, this spell requires you to touch the skull. That means there’s a big chance of you getting blown away again before you even get close.
If you’re insane, you can make use of the Scrolls of Disintegrate you found inside Sorcerous Sundries. That’s a guaranteed one hit delete since the spell deals 50-100 damage. You won’t feel good using it though, as it is quite an expensive scroll.
Another option you can use is a level 5 Fireball or a simple Fire Bolt. Using the latter, however, will take more than five tries, ten if you’re miserably unlucky. So, be sure to have a decent amount of scrolls on hand before walking into this mess of a mansion.
One more option you can consider if you want to only deal with one cursed skull, is the balcony. Use a flight potion or scroll to get all the way up to the atelier.
Be careful though, the skull mentioned before is right next to the door on the top floor. Your mental health will plummet if you stumble all the way to the basement again from that height.
And that’s how you can destroy the skulls in Lady Jannath’s Estate in Baldur’s Gate 3. Now you can focus on easier things, like destroying the Elder Brain, or Saving Vanra by Finding Auntie Ethel. Spoiler alert if you haven’t explored the gate that deep yet.
