Just like any other role-playing games, Baldur’s Gate 3 also have tiers for its items. And of course, the higher the tier, the more difficult it is to get. Just like how all legendary items should be, the Helldusk Armor requires you to do a bit of work as well. In this guide, I’ll show you everything you need to know and do to get the armor. Let’s get right into it!

How to Get Helldusk Armor Legendary

In order to get the legendary Helldusk Armor, you’ll need to meet and defeat Raphael in the House of Hope, which is basically in Hell. However, getting to the location is not really as simple, it’s hell after all. Here are the steps that you’ll need to follow to ultimately reach Raphael in the game.

First, you must open the portal to the House of Hope. In order to do that, you must make your way to Helsik in Devil’s Fee. You’ll need to express your interest in Hell upon interacting with her. After successfully doing so, she’ll give you a pouch of the components as well as the key to her room and a note of instructions on how to open the portal in exchange of 20000 coins.

You can also do a persuasion or intimidation check, which can possibly turn the price to 10000 coins in a deal of fetching the Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength for her. You can get this somewhere in the House of Hope.

If you don’t get such options: you’ll need to make sure that you need to have the pact with Raphael signed or you’ll just have to brute force your way into Helsik’s Room. As for the components and key, you can just steal/pickpocket it from her. Though be careful of the traps on your way to her room.

Now that you have the components and instructions, make your way up into Helsik’s Room.

In this room, open your inventory and check the pouch from Helsik. It contains a Skull, Incense, Diamond, and Coin of Mammon – all needed for the ritual. As for the Infernal Marble, you’ll need to open and lockpick her chests until you find it.

Once you have all the materials, read Helsik’s note for instructions. It guides you on placing the items in the Blood Circle: Skull goes closest to the altar’s star point, Coin of Mammon on the right, Diamond one point after that, Incense beside the Diamond, and Infernal Marble at the center.

Take items from your inventory and throw them to the right spots. When all are set right, the circle lights up, allowing you to enter Hell. Remember, a warning will remind you how risky it is, so gear up for safety.

Defeat Raphael

The last step you’ll need to do is to simply play though the Save Hope questline. Play it naturally, save Hope and you’ll reach Raphael. You’ll have to defeat him, and after you do that, you can loot the Helldusk Armor from him.

The Helldusk Armor is, of course, a legendary heavy Armour that gives you the following effects:

  • Helldusk Armor – You are automatically Proficient with this armor.
  • Fly – You can use this to fly during fights.
  • Infernal Retribution – If you pass a Saving Throw, the caster burns for 3 turns.
  • Prime Aegis of Fire – You resist fire and can’t be burned.
