Cid Kagenou (more commonly known in the game as Lord Sombra) is considered one of the best units in Anime World Tower Defense. He’s a ground-type tower that can deal huge numbers in terms of damage output. If you’re wondering what’s so great about this unit, I’m here to give you the full scoop. Cid Kagenou Guide

As an MR unit, Lord Sombra can’t be attained by the usual summoning system in the game. Instead, you can craft him in Miracle Creation. He has quite a list of requirements before you can do this, so I’ll list them all here.

Likewise, I’ll list his skills and how you can best use him in battle.

Crafting Lord Sombra

To craft Lord Sombra, you will need the following items:

• 1.5M Gold
• 15 Demonic Hearts
• 15 Calamity Orbs
• 50k Secret Crystals
• 1k Spirit
• 15 Ancient Orbs
• 12 Hollow Shards
• 7 Red Jewels
• 3 Legend Shards
• 7 Grand Tokens
• 7 Sombra Medals
• 50K Shadow Realm Orbs

These items can be collected by simply playing the game. Make sure to do your events and farm quests and levels so that you can get all of these items as soon as possible.

Once you have all of these items, go to the Capsule Girl (Miracle Crafter) and select Lord Sombra from the crafting screen.

A cut scene will play and then you’ll get Cid Kagenou! Now let’s talk about what he can do on the field.

Lord Sombra’s Skills and Showcase

Unlike most units in Anime World Tower Defense, Lord Sombra doesn’t get a new skill at Upgrade 3 and 6. Instead, he gets new skills up until Upgrade 8, with a maximum upgrade level of 12. Here’s what it will look like:

• Dark Punisher (Circle AoE) 
  • Achieved at Upgrade 4
• Atomic Sword (Line Cone AoE)
  • Achieved at Upgrade 7
• Manual Abilities (All achieved at Upgrade 8)
  • Atomic – requires 150M total damage
  • Recovery Atomic – requires 300M total damage
  • I AM ALL RANGE ATOMIC – requires total damage of 500M

On the field, Lord Sombra acts as an AoE damage dealer. This means that he works well when placed in the middle of the field. By doing so, he can hit more enemies over a wide area. 

Players can build a team around him and buff his range with Shining Star Idol and Flower Magician. These two supports buff Lord Sombra’s attack and range, making them the best affordable supports in the game so far.
