While the debate around Cyberpunk 2077 about whether it’s good or bad (personally, it’s just an okay game), many can agree that Cyberpunk 2077 had a very rough start. Fast forward 2 years later, Cyberpunk 2077 is now a playable game with new content. Some of those new content comes from the Edgerunners, a prequel anime that reinvigorated the popularity of Cyberpunk 2077. In the anime, we follow the story of David Martinez. No spoilers, but you can find his jacket in the game. If you want to carry on the memory of the legendary Edgerunner, then follow this guide.
How To Get David Martinez’s Yellow Jacket – Cyberpunk 2077
To get David Martinez’s jacket, you need to head to this location here. But only after you have finished the prologue. Otherwise, this area will be locked.
Go to the entrance of the building and look to the side. You should see an Edgerunner’s symbol, as well as a Braindance in a trash can. Take it and you will see the first thirty seconds of the anime.
Once you are done with the Braindance, open your menu and text El Capitan. V will talk about the events of the Braindance and will ask about David Martinez. El Capitan will then reply, saying that he knows the name and will dig up information. After the text, you will have to wait 24 hours for the response, so you can do something in the meantime or go to sleep for 24 hours.
Once the 24 hours is up, you will get a text from Falco. Edgerunner fans, make sure to not cry when you see the name pop up, but he will tell you that David Martinez’s crew is no longer active. If you watched the anime, then you would know why. He then tells you that he left something for you with El Capitan, which is David’s jacket.
He comments that V and David are more alike than they think, and Falco recognizes that, which is why he gives V David’s jacket. He wishes V good luck before ending the conversation.
Go to El Capitan and right next to him, just sitting on the ledge, is David’s jacket. It’s a legendary item with very poor armor, but thanks to the new outfit system, you can rock David’s jacket as you explore Night City.
