In Dandy’s World, you have the freedom to choose whoever Toon you find cool, cute, interesting or just straight up good to use. There are around 20 Toons that you can play, and they all have unique builds – different passive and active abilities, playstyle, stats and more. You know what that means, yep, there’s meta in the game as well. With this tier list, I’ll show you the best units to use if you want to reach higher floors and have a good time playing the game. Let’s get right into it!

Best Toon Tier List (Up to Sprout)

So far, there’s a total of 20 Toons that you can play in Dandy’s World. As mentioned above, they all have different abilities, perks and stats which means that some will be better than others, or some can only be good in certain situations.

I’ll be ranking them from S tier (the absolute best) to D tier (garbage tier), to help you understand which Toons you should play if you want to reach high floors. Also, if you’re still starting in the game, consider checking our complete beginner’s guide in Dandy’s World as well!

All the toons in Dandy's World ranked from best to worst in a tier list.

S Tier

  • Pebbles – Pebble goes straight into S tier. No question. I recommend that you get him as your first main Toon for yourself. As far as distractors go, Pebble is S tier. There’s nothing better. Our guy can distract and twist to nearby locations, basically like a built-in air horn.
    • And he’s got a passive ability to find items, which is crucial because, let’s face it, Pebble always needs healing. Sure, he only has two hearts, but with five-star movement speed and four-star stamina, he’s the GOAT. Just keep him away from machines.
  • Sprout – Sprout is going straight into S tier. Do I even need to explain this? His passive abilities alone put him in the top tier. With four-star movement speed and five-star stamina, he’s a phenomenal distractor. Plus, he can heal others for just 100 tapes. That’s insane!
  • Vee – She is the best extractor in the game, so straight into S tier. Five-star extraction speed, four-star skill check—Vee is just absurdly good. Sure, the stamina and movement speed suck, but you can work around that.
  • Cosmo – I love the support role, and Cosmo was the first Toon that many players master. While her extraction sucks, still, who doesn’t love a Toon that sacrifices themselves for you? That ability alone is invaluable.

A Tier

  • Astro – Super high A tier, almost S. Astro might have the best abilities in the game, but the stats hold him back. He’s a great support Toon, but not much else.
  • Shelly – Shelly is going into A tier. She is someone that you definitely want on your team—boosting the extraction speed of a selected TB by 75% for 15 seconds is huge!
  • Brightney – Her ability is a lifesaver during blackouts, especially against Goob, Scraps, and Pebble. As you progress deeper into the game, blackouts become more frequent, with a 1/3 chance of happening from floor 15 onward (1/4 if you’re using Electrician).
    • She has excellent stamina and solid movement speed, which make up for her poor stealth. In solo runs, stealth doesn’t matter, making her one of the best characters, along with Vee. The only thing keeping her from S tier is her poor stealth in multiplayer, which can disrupt distractors.
  • Tisha – Tisha is A tier. She can create a pulse that increases the movement speed of Toons around her by 25%. That’s amazing, especially when you’re getting chased or need a quick escape. And for the bargain price of 500 Ichors, it’s hard to beat.
  • Scraps – Wanna get away from danger? Use her ability on a toon, and you’re back on track. Very simple to use.
  • Glisten – Glisten has a 5-star extraction speed. And with Manual he’s basically faster than machines. He’s pretty much the cheaper version of Vee.
  • Rodger – Roger is the definition of a A tier Toon. Solid, reliable, and great for getting research and capsules from encountering Twisted. When a new update drops and new Toons are released, Rodger’s the one you want to master. He’s okay in the game, but his passive ability is what makes him shine.
  • Goob – Goob’s just too cute to ignore. Plus, he’s a fantastic distractor and a great support Toon. When you need to make a mad dash for the elevator, having a Goob on your team is priceless.

B Tier

  • Razzle & Dazzle – One of the most favorite Toon of the community, but I’ve got to be honest—Dazzle’s not good enough. It’s a mixed bag, really fun to play, but the stats are just too mid. Razzle’s great, but Dazzle drags them down to a B tier at best.
  • Flutter – Flutter is a solid B tier. Great distractor with decent stats all around. Not much more to say, she gets the job done.

C Tier

  • Teagan – This might be a bit controversial, but I place Teagan in C tier. Here’s why: When you jump into a game, no one’s really asking for her. Although her stats are solid, her ability is just… meh. Healing yourself is great, but at that point, wouldn’t you rather have Cosmo? Teagan is like a more selfish version of Cosmo, which makes her a decent solo pick, but nothing more.
  • Boxten – He’s just kind of ‘meh.’ He’s not bad, not great, just perfectly balanced. Boxten is only really good when your team is good. He’s a lesser extractor, and that’s all there is to it.

D Tier

  • Toodles – Straight into D tier. Somebody has to go there, and honestly, Toodles is the closest thing we have to a bad Toon. The stats are underwhelming, and when your main stat is stealth, are you really that good? Toodles is a great first-playthrough Toon, but after that, it’s just not worth it. The ability? “Beginner’s Luck”? Boosting a random stat for 10 seconds? That’s just not cutting it.
  • Finn – He just doesn’t know what he wants to be. His stats are all over the place, and he’s kind of just… there. I don’t man, I don’t like using him at all.
  • Poppy – Poppy’s a D tier. She’s the worse version of Boxton. When you start the game, you have a choice between Poppy or Boxton; one’s an extractor, the other a distractor. But Poppy’s the worst distractor in the game. Slow movement speed, slow stamina, and a speed boost that only kicks in after you’ve been attacked? No thanks.
  • Shrimpo – No explanation needed. Worst toon in the Dandy’s World.

And there you have it! Here’s my personal ranking for all the toons (up to Sprout) from best to worst in Dandy’s World.
