How to Defeat the Avarus Captain SOLO

Avarus Captain has a very, very long HP bar, so that calls for having the best equipment you can get in the game right now. Once you’ve got that all grinded, particularly the weapon, next thing you need to get is the Umbral Grasp skill.

If you haven’t had this skill yet, check out my other guide on how to get Umbral Grasp and a bunch of other skills from Asher.

As a game inspired from Dark Souls, it’s a given that the fights are going to be harsh. Avarus Captain lives up to the expectations with the high resistance he has against getting stunned and powerful ranged attacks.

The best way to deal with him alone is to stay close so you can keep hitting him and hopefully, break his stance before he shoots.

The Umbral Grasp spell is particularly useful when you don’t think you can do that fast enough. It’ll stun and keep him in place while you hit him.

Use Umbral Grasp when the captain is charging his laserbeam and you know you’re not going to be able to break his stance in time. iFrame dodging is also a thing in this game, so make full use of that during this fight.

Rinse and repeat. Obviously, make sure to stock up on food while you fight him. While ideally you want to fight him without using any healing item, you might need just in case. It’s Derelict after all.

And what else can we say but good luck?
