F1 24 just came out, and players are still figuring out how to set up their game in a way that lets them comfortably play it and hopefully become better at navigating the tracks. In this guide, we will be showing you a few tips to set up your different in-game cameras so that you can have a smoother gameplay experience!

Camera Settings Guide (Best & Fastest TV Pod + Cockpit Cam View)

Although personal preference trumps most recommendations, if you need a hand setting up your camera to be a little more balanced and somewhat emulate the helmet cam of the real thing, we’ve got you covered.

Before we begin with the specific camera types, here are a few things that you should set up regardless of which one you’re going to choose:

  • Camera Shake – Set to 0
  • Camera Movement – Set to 0

These two in particular can be a pain in the rear while playing due to their purely disruptive nature. With both settings turned to zero, you will have a much smoother experience on the track.

Cockpit Cam Settings

For the cockpit camera, you will likely have the most “realistic” experience, but this may come with a few disadvantages in terms of gameplay. To have a better gaming experience, consider the following settings:

  • Look to Apex Limit: 15 – By putting this setting at the maximum value, you’ll very likely find it easier to make sharp turns.
  • Halo Column: Off – Turning this setting off will make it so that the halo column will no longer be rendered, giving you a less obstructed view. This is actually more realistic, as actual drivers can see around it.
  • Field of View: -1
  • Offset: Horizontal: 0
  • Offset: Vertical: 13
  • Angle: -16
  • Near Clip Plane: 0
  • Mirror Angle: 0

With these settings, you will have a somewhat realistic and immersive view without compromising your gameplay too much regardless of the size of your monitor.

TV Pod Cam Settings

TV Pod is the most commonly used camera setting as it provides a very comfortable view at the expense of realism. For a fairly balanced setup that will give you a good view of your surroundings, consider the following settings:

  • Field of View: -10
  • Offset: Lateral: 0
  • Offset: Horizontal: 2
  • Offset: Vertical: 17
  • Angle: -20
  • Near Clip Plane: 20
  • Mirror Angle: 0

Alternatively, you can play around with some of the Offset settings and Angle to give yourself a bit of an off-center view. This part is purely going to be based on your personal preference, so experiment with it to see what works best for you.

And those are pretty much all of the tips we can give you when it comes to fixing your camera settings in this game, and most of it can easily be adjusted based on your own preferences. While you’re here, check out our complete beginner’s guide for F1 24 as well for some more tips and tricks!
