The latest version of Genshin Impact added all sorts of new content, including characters, artifacts, quests, and various events.
One of the new events is Roses and Muskets, which features a wide variety of game modes that will reward you with all sorts of prizes, ranging from Primogems to a brand new weapon.
Here is everything you need to know about it!
Roses and Muskets Day 1 Guide
The event runs from December 21 until January 8, 2024, and it requires you to be at least Adventure Rank 20 to participate.
On the first day of the event, the story quest The Crack of Muskets Breaking the Silence was unlocked for everybody.
It is a relatively straightforward quest that mostly involves simply talking to nearby NPCs.
Into the Frame: The Path of the Sun
During the first day’s Into the Frame minigame, you must fast travel to the Chemin de L’Espoir waypoint in Fontaine.
The mechanics of this minigame are simple. Just choose the correct Kamera positioning and narration depending on the director’s requirements.
Your final score will be based on how well you adhered to what the director wants.
Frame 1
Choose the second kamera position, and for narration, pick “Where should I swim? It all seems the same underwater.”
Frame 2
For the next frame, pick the third kamera position, which shows the actress swimming through the seagrass (which is also indicated by the requirements).
Frame 3
In the third frame, simply pick the first kamera position, which clearly shows the actress’ face. You could also pick the third option, though this will net you less points.
Frame 4
Finally, pick the first kamera position for the fourth frame. For narration, you have to choose “I know… Follow the sun’s rays.”
Once you’re done, click on Start Shooting on the lower right hand side of the screen and wait until it finishes to see the final verdict.
Xtreme Drive
For the Xtreme Drive game mode, you will have to herd Stabilization Mekaballs into your designated zone in order to score as many points as possible within the time limit.
To do this, simply run behind them and lure them into your spot. You will be matched with other players, who will also be competing against you to get these balls.
Simply try your best to raise your total score in order to earn various rewards, including Theater Tickets and Primogems.
The minigame has a total of five different maps, and there are two varieties of balls to get. The regular ones are worth 1 point each, while Glitz Balls will net you 7 points each.
Thousand-Pace Interdiction Arcminute Sharpshooting Zone
In this minigame, you will be equipped with a weapon that you can use to shoot various types of enemies. For the first one, you will have a total of 17 targets to shoot down.
In this test of skill, you will have a total of 50 shots available, but you will receive extra prizes for having a certain number remaining by the end of the challenge. Try your best to make every shot count to maximize your rewards.
Tricky Shots, Tricky Lights
Finally, in the first day of Tricky Shots, Tricky Lights you will be playing the “A Stormy Encounter on a Stormier Night” scenario.
In this challenge, you simply have to defeat as many enemies as you possibly can within the two-minute time limit. There’s not much else to say about this challenge other than to bring your best team.
For this day, there is a bonus for using both Hydro and Cryo characters, though you will be able to clear the reward tiers just fine with any well-rounded team.
And that’s all you need to know about the first day of Roses and Muskets in Genshin Impact! Completing these activities will likely enable you to receive the Ultimate Overlord’s Mega Magic Sword immediately, so it is definitely worth participating in as early as you can!
After completing this quest, you’ll encounter the characters at specific locations:
- Ayato & Neuvillette: Go up the stairs to the right, facing Palais Mermonia when outdoors.
- Ayaka & Yoimiya: Located in Arouet’s coffee shop, savoring dessert at the seats with the cooking device.
- Chiori & Xavier: Find them by the spinning fountain located at the center of the city.
- Furina and Chevreuse: (?)
