This guide is going to take you through this favorite quest so you can ace it easily. Let’s get started

Consul’s Journal Location

Once you head inside the sanctum, you will be tasked to search for clues about the Elven history. Players need to search for the Consul’s Journal that’s hidden within the Elven Library.

To find it, simply head inside until you encounter the elven library. You will know you have reached it when Freya initiates a dialogue about Elves.

Once you’re inside, go to the left and climb the two ledges. Climbing the ledges will lead you to a podium with the consul Journal glowing yellow on it.

Simply pick this up so you can accomplish the objective.

The Maven Boss Fight

Taking the Consul Journal is not easy as most players think. Before you can freely access the exit, the Maven will stop Kratos and his companions in their tracks to engage in combat for you to return what you took.

The Maven requires patience to fight. She has two ranged attacks that are relatively easy to dodge, But the catch is she usually follows them up with a series of melee attacks. So, don’t relax after you’ve dodged her sword throwing.

Her melee attacks contain heavy attacks that are needed to be parried. Dodging this will also inflict damage so it’s recommended to parry them. Remember to keep track of her movements and you will defeat this boss eventually
