If you’re trying to get your own Orb Weaver mount in Grounded 2, you’ll need to find an Orb Weaver Egg. These eggs are typically guarded by some of the game’s tougher spider enemies, so getting one takes a bit of planning. Here’s exactly where to find the Orb Weaver Egg and how to bring it back to your base without losing it on the way.

How to Find the Orb Weaver Egg

Location of Orb Weaver Egg in Grounded 2

To locate the Orb Weaver Egg, head toward the area between the front of the snack bar, the picnic table, and the Grass Game Zone. If you’ve explored that part of the map before, you might recognize it as the spot where the Wolf Spider tends to roam around. In fact, you’ll want to be careful because this particular spider often sleeps or patrols near a large metal street lamp in that area.

Once you reach the base of the street light, you’ll notice a small opening or nook. This is where the Orb Weaver Eggs are found.

Watch Out for the Wolf Spider

Wolf Spider in Grounded 2

The area is dangerous because the Wolf Spider frequently roams or naps right near the egg location. He isn’t always aggressive on sight, but if he does notice you, things can go south quickly. You might have to wait for him to leave or carefully sneak around to access the eggs. Either way, keep your distance and don’t try to fight him if you’re not prepared!

Why You Should Bring an Ant Buggy

Once you’ve got your hands on the Orb Weaver Egg, you’ll need to carry it all the way back to your hatchery. Here’s the problem: if you don’t have a mount, you can’t fight while holding the egg. That means any enemies you run into on the way back could easily cause you to drop the egg and possibly lose it altogether.

That’s why it’s highly recommended that you bring a Red Soldier Ant Buggy (or another functional mount) with you. That way, you can place the egg on the Buggy and ride it back to your base without having to worry about defending yourself along the way.

Quick Tips

  • Make sure your base isn’t too far away from the street lamp area, or else the trip home could be risky.
  • Clear out any threats in the area before picking up the egg.
  • If the Wolf Spider is blocking the way, wait for him to move or go around him carefully.
  • Don’t forget: if you take damage while carrying the egg by hand, you’ll drop it automatically.

If you want to hatch your own Orb Weaver Buggy, make sure you head to the region between the snack bar, picnic table, and Grass Game Zone. Search near the tall metal streetlight where the Wolf Spider sleeps. The egg is tucked into a small corner there, but you’ll need to sneak past the spider and bring a Buggy (preferably an ant mount). This is recommended if you want to make it back to base without losing it. Plan your route and avoid danger. You’ll be one step closer to taming one of the coolest spider mounts in Grounded 2.
