Build your business empire and control New York City, legally at least. That is what you’ll be gunning for as you climb the corporate ladder not as an employee, but as a business mogul! Success doesn’t happen overnight however, you can’t just expect a distant relative to leave you a fortune that you’ll burn through by buying needless furniture. You do get a decent enough apartment to help keep your head in the game, even if it’s empty.
So now with the promise of success almost guaranteed, the only thing to worry about next is how long you’ll take to be swimming in the green paper.
Big Ambitions – How long will the game last?
Big Ambitions has gone through a lot of development over the past few months, people claim that you’ll take about a hundred hours before you actually finish the game due to the amount of management you’ll be doing.
That really doesn’t sound like a stretch given that there’s no shortage of content as you manage more than twenty business types, but that playing time can most likely be shortened.
The beginning doesn’t really seem all that bad, sure your apartment is expensive but at least money gets wired to you on your very first day. You even get to take out a loan of $15000 without any difficulty, sounds like an amusement park that you never want to leave right?
Well, this is just the tutorial phase of the game which will take about thirty minutes to an hour depending on how you go through it.
You won’t get lost since you do have objectives to follow, but as the game opens up so do the endless waves of possibilities of income and unnecessary expenditures. As you run your first gift shop you’ll notice that it resembles the appearance of your first apartment, it’s empty.
Point is, the more businesses you buy, the more objectives you’ll be doing like shopping for furniture, setting up business hours, and all that boring stuff that you need to do to make some serious bank.
Nearing the end of the tutorial you’ll be told to run your own business as well, no harm there as you need to understand how the nature of your environment functions. At this point, it’s a matter of rinse and repeat, with a little bit of you developing a receding hairline as the numbers get bigger.
You can clear the game easily and only lose 6-8 hours of your time if you don’t spend too much of it learning every business the game has to offer.
The progression is quite nice as you get ridiculously rich down the line and get to a point where you no longer know what to do with your money. Don’t get fined by the city by the way!
