There’s a new Paradox Interactive game out there and it’s the sequel to Victoria 2 and it’s the fabled Victoria 3. A lot of fans of the series have been making memes on the game and now it’s actually real. This newest addition to the genre features a chance to play as any country in the Victorian era as you guide that country through everything from Military, Politics, Economy and Colonization. You can play as Great Britain and conquer the world, or play as Prussia and unite the German states, play as Russia and go communist or even stop it from happening. In this guide we’ll show you how to declare war in Victoria 3.
Victoria 3: How To Declare War
It’s a grand strategy game so declaring war should be normal in the game. The Victoria Era is well known since it’s also the time a lot of countries industrialized, but it’s also one of the more violent times in history. Well, the history of the Human race is nothing but progress and violence so it doesn’t really narrow it down. Whatever the case is, this is how you declare war in the game.
To even start declaring war you need to first declare interest in an area. You can do so by going to the Diplomatic Lense at the bottom and go to the Regional Actions tab. From there click Declare interests and click on the area you want to declare war on.
Once the interest has been declared you can then go to the Diplomatic plays and select Conquer State. You can also do other things like Make a country a vassal or a puppet and so on.
Once you’ve set it a Diplomatic play will start. There are 3 phases, and you can easily ignore the first one. The second one is where you can sway other countries to join your cause, and if the target doesn’t back down then the 3rd phase fills up and a war starts!
Congratulations you now know how to Declare war in Victoria 3, now go out there and declare as much wars as you want! Actually no, don’t engage in too many wars unless you have the logistics and men to do so.
