There are a lot of different cosmetics you can try and get in Sea of Thieves, and with the newest content patch, there’s even more!
One of the cosmetics you can get is the Fates of Fortune Ship Set, and it’s probably one of the flashiest Ship Sets in the game. So this is how you get the ship set.
So to get this Ship Set you’ll need to do the Chests of Fortune Commendations, and right now there are only two with more coming out in the future.
What you need to do for the commendation is to Hand in Chests of Fortune to the Gold Hoarders. These Chests of Fortune can only be found in the Fort of Fortune world event that can rarely spawn in a server.
To look for the Fort of Fortune World event, look for the large skull cloud flying overhead the fort. The one you’re looking for has gold eyes and gold scars on it.
A Fort of Fortune spawning is rare, but once you get in them be prepared to fight since it has one of the strongest enemies in the game. Don’t forget to also watch out for other players that might have the same idea as you.
My suggestion is to get Trident of Dark Tides before jumping into the fort since these Tridents make it easier to fight the mobs on the fort itself.
