Elden Ring Nightreign is a rogue like multiplayer experience featuring a lot of the enemies and mechanics you are used to seeing from From Software games. However, there is a big emphasis on cooperating with other players to defeat the Nightlords. A lot of players have been excited to play this game with their friends. After all, you’ll have a better time communicating with people you know. But how exactly how can you invite your friends so that you can start an expedition with them? How to Invite Friends
Starting off, to invite your friends in Elden Ring Nightreign, you must interact with the expedition table in the center of the Roundtable Hold.
Next, select the option to Commence Expedition.
This will open the Expedition menu where you can select the Expedition you want to go on. From here, change the tab to the Matchmaking Settings.
In the Matchmaking Settings, you will be able to see the option to Invite Members. This will allow you to invite them directly so you can play with them.
Keep in mind that you cannot play as a duo in Elden Ring Nightreign. If you start a expedition with just two players, the game will automatically fill in a random in the third player slot.
Besides inviting friends, you can also choose to use a Multiplayer Password. This allows you to limit the search to just friends who have that password. You can go for this method too, but the traditional Invite Friends probably works best.
Next, you will also see an option for Group Passwords. This feature works best if you have a large number of friends to play with or different groups of friends. By setting a group password together with other players, you essentially link your accounts.
This makes it so that you can see phantoms, bloodstains and so on from your friends in the group more often. You can have up to five group passwords, ensuring you can interact this way with different grous you know.
Group passwords also allow you to find players within the larger Elden Ring community.
Additional Notes
Keep in mind that whichever method you use, you will not be able to play as a duo. The third slot will always be filled with a random player by the game. This could change in the future.
Additionally, if you’re looking to play with friends using crossplay, this is not possible. Currently, Elden Ring Nightreign does not support crossplay. So, Playstation players not play with Xbox players, and so on.
