How to Level Up Piloting Skills FAST in Starfield
As you make your journey into space, you’ll want the effects of the piloting skill in the tech tree. More specifically, there are four different ranks you can progress with and gain the following effects:
- Rank 1: You can now utilize ship thrusters.
- Rank 2: Increased ship turning rate and maneuverability.
- Rank 3: Unlock the ability to pilot Class B ships.
- Rank 4: Unlock the ability to pilot Class C ships.
Next, let’s talk about you’ll be able to progress through this skill system. First, you’ll want to use your train and head to the MAST Headquarters.
As you go further into the area, you’ll see a building that has the word MAST on it. Then, head inside and talk to the officer to your left. After that, you’ll want to complete a small quick quest that the officer gives you.
On completing the quest, you’ll unlock a feature in the elevator called the Vanguard Pilot Simulator. Once you get into the simulator, you can start destroying ships in the simulator.
Every ship you destroy will count towards your piloting skill’s progress. After you destroy 5 ships in the simulator, the skill will automatically unlock for you.
It is also relatively fast for you to progress through this skill system in approximately 40 minutes.
