There is a new remake of a game out there and it’s Star Ocean The Second Story R. It’s one of the earliest examples of JRPGs set in a mixture of Sci-Fi and fantasy settings. You can meet a lot of interesting and fun quirky characters in the game with their own stories and one of them is Precis. Like all characters though, you’ll need to recruit her first.
In this guide, we’ll show you how you can recruit Precis in Star Ocean: The Second Story R. Now, let’s see where we can find her so we can finally get her into the party!
How To Recruit Precis
Precis is one of the characters that you can recruit in Star Ocean The Second Story R. The catch is you can only either recruit her or Bowman, so keep that in mind. You can’t recruit both of them and you have to choose one.
To recruit her, you’ll need to progress through the story until you reach Hilton. Then, you’ll need to follow the path shown below going to the southwest of Lacuer City.

Once you get there, you can then get to the town of Linga where you’ll meet Precis at the entrance. After the cutscene and when you regain control of your characters, you can then go after her.
If you’re playing Rena’s Playthrough, you’ll need to go left. For Claude, go right.
There, you’ll find Precis and you can talk to her. After a short cutscene, you can then recruit her into your party! All you need to do is select “Sure, why not.” Then, she’ll be added to your party.
That’s how you recruit Precis in Star Ocean The Second Story R. Now, go out there and try to recruit her yourself!
