Deep Rock Galactic is one of the best co-op games out there and it gets this title by just being a great game in general. There’s no gimmicks or catch, just dwarves, darkness and danger. The game can run on a potato and is easy to jump in with friends or with random people. Even if you play with random people, the community is nice and they even communicate unlike 99% of CSGO random lobbies. There’s a lot of mission types in Deep Rock Galactic and in this guide we’ll show you how to do Industrial Sabotage so you’re ready for it when you jump in!
Deep Rock Galactic: Industrial Sabotage Guide & Rating
Industrial Sabotage in Deep Rock Galactic isn’t one of the usual missions you get in the game, it has to be unlocked through an Assignment and usually it’s a bit more complex than missions like Mining runs or On-site refining. Lore-wise Industrial Sabotage is basically us destroying another company’s equipment, because we own the place and we can’t have them taking our jobs and our precious minerals! So this is how the mission goes.
Removing the Shields
Industrial Sabotage has two stages, the first one is to hack the Power Stations powering up the shields that’s protecting the machine that we need to destroy. To find these Power Station you’ll first need to find the machine, which isn’t that hard since it’s big and has a large circular shield on it.
Find the powered wires that’s connected to it and follow it to the two Power Stations. Once you find the Power Station, interact with it to call down a Hacking Pod. Once the hacking pod is there, take a hacking node from it.
You’ll need to make a line from the hacking pod to the power station using the nodes. The Power nodes must be inside the green circle around the last node you threw, and it has to have line-of-sight of the previous node.
The Caretaker Boss Fight
Once you’ve hacked both power stations you can then go back to where it all connects, remove the backup batteries from the shields and start the boss fight. Yes this is a boss fight and you’ll be fighting the Caretaker, so be sure the arena is good and that there’s a supply pod or two nearby.
The Caretaker has two phases, one where you’ll need to damage the corners of the upside down pyramid, and the other where you actually damage it. The Caretaker will also spawn robot tentacles that will shoot are melee you as well as teleport explosive mines and shredder drones to fight you. Sometimes it even spawns Sniper Turrets just to spite you as well!
Once the corners are down you can damage the caretaker, it will open an “eye” from one of the sides of the pyramid and there you’ll need to shoot it. Once one bar of health is down it’ll close and you’ll have to shoot the corners again.
This fight can be difficult specially when the arena is bad. Make sure to tell your Engineer to plug holes and use the terrain as cover from ranged attacks. Moving around also works since the Caretaker can spawn mines at you.
Once the fight is done the Caretaker will go down, explode, and the Data Rack will spawn and you can duct tape it to Molly! Now you’ll just need to call the drop pod and survive getting there!
Congratulations you now know how the Industrial Sabotage mission works in Deep Rock Galactic, it’s one of the more fun mission types out there with friends so go try it out!
