With the new Call of Duty comes a new craze in the triple A shooter genre again. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, not to be confused with the old Modern Warfare game, this one is the continuation of the Modern Warfare game back in 2019. The game features the continuation of the story filled with new mechanics and the good old arcade-shooter Call of Duty is well known for, as well as a campaign filled with action. The game of course has a thriving multiplayer scene and in this guide we’ll show you how to get the Orion Camo in the game.
The Complete Orion Camo Guide For MW2
In Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer you can unlock different skins and camo patterns for your guns. Some of them can be simple military camo patterns while others are a bit more flashier like gold plated guns or the coveted Orion Camo. There can be a bit of a grind to get these camo patterns so here’s a guide on how to effectively grind for the Orion Camo.
So how do you even get the Orion Camo? Here’s the step by step guide on the progression of camo in the game:
- Unlock all base camo for he gun to unlock Gold Camo.
- Unlock all Gold Camo for a single weapon category to get a chance to unlock Platinum.
- Once Platinum is completed on 51 unique weapons you can then grind Polyatomic.
- Once Polyatomic is unlocked on 51 unique weapons you can then grind for Orion Camo.
In order to complete Camo challenges you’ll first need to level up your weapons. There’s many ways to help with grinding weapon levels. Here are some tips and tricks in helping you level your weapons:
- Double Weapon XP tokens or events
- Shooting bots when they spawn in Invasion
- Decoy and DDOS field upgrade XP adds to weapon XP
- Having a Riot Shield on your back adds to the XP when absorbing damage
